I use Shopify Basic and it was very easy to setup. Plus plenty of apps that add any function one can imagine. The obvious drawback is that I have to pay a monthly fee for platform + apps.. It's not much, but it is a factor when you first start!
Try shopify, its easy to setup and start selling and if you have some wordpress exp then woocommerce also would do. You can customize and develop your site as per your taste.
It totally depends on you. How much technology part you can handle yourself or can hire some developers to do the work. How much money you want to spend in setting up the online store. For starting a business with moderate budget and limited technology knowledge, the best platform is Shopify. It gives you everything in one place, cart, website, hosting and support.
Ridiculous spam. Woocommerce is the world leader and it's free. Asking anyone to pay anything to start a business is plain stupid.
Have you already tried to use DeepOnion e-commerce payment plugins? they have 3 available already working just fine.
I would recommend ShopyGen.com, an open-source platform which means that the source code is made available on a universal level. This means that you have the capacity to have more input and customization.
In my opinion, Shopify is the best out of all the platforms. But, you can't go wrong if you use WooCommerce or Magento. P.S. WordPress is very easy to use but i prefer it for writing articles.
I would recommend SaleHoo, they provide solid support to their customers and help them find best selling products. Through its forums, articles and blogs they help their customer to expand their online stores. Read about it here for more information.
I haven't used SaleHoo, it could be some kind of new platform, regardless of what you choose, the differences are very small.
