How much monthly traffic would it take to make $10,000

Hi there.

We all want to make money.

I want to make $10,000 a month using adsense.

How much traffic would it take to make this happen. Both in terms of unique hits on the site, total site impressions, and actual clicks on the ads.

Please make the assumption that the click per rate is 20 cents. I've taken some averages, and feel that is a safe number.

I am currenlty developing a concert review site, www.theconcertgoer.com/site It should be done within the month. We're still playing with the design, and scripting isn't done yet, but its pretty close.

lol quite alot, and it would be some hard work. It wouldnt come easy!

 

Pageviews x CTR x .20 = $10,000

If you have a CTR of 10% you need 500,000 pageviews.

 

with 20 cents clicks you would need 50,000 clicks and with CTR of lets say 10% which is a lot you need 500,000 visitors per month...

not 500,000 visitors per month but 500,000 pageviews (exactly Page impressions)
Page impressions * Page CTR * CPC = Earnings

 

actually, since 10% CTR is a lot, (my site is close to 5% for instance), you would need at the very least 500,000 pageviews, and probably closer to 1000,000 pageviews which would be around 500,000 visitors.

 

i have a very low CTR because my adsense are displayed on a forum and as most of us know - forums are the worst resort of revenue so i am probably a bad example.

so in my case it should take about 12+ million of page impressions to reach 10k...

 

Actually it should be:

Pageviews x CTR x .20 x .7 = $10,000

Google only registers about 70% of actual page views as many visitors have java disabled or ads blocked.

 

$333 a day is very tough.

Concert Season doesn't really start till May, so I don't plan on seeing the traffic I need till September.

If you have a niche site that pays .50-$1 per click you only need 500 or so clicks a day.

If you have 10% CTR....you can probly do it with 5000-6000 uniques a day....

Finding your niche site and getting traffic to it is the hard part =)

30,000 visitors a day, then maybe you could achieve this.

 

If you have established, popular site in good niche -then may be you can reach that figure.

If you are starting from zero then realistically speaking its far too difficult to reach that mark with adsense.

I know anything is possible with hard work etc etc - but if you look at reality 10k from adsense will need you lots of traffic that wouldn't come without your sites ranking on first page in SERPS for highly competitive keywords.

Such volume of traffic comes only from search engine. You can rank #1 for odd keyword/phrase but that won't get you much traffic. If people are searching for something - its already served by millions of websites. So competition is extremely hard
