Which is the best for advertising for a small local business. I know I can purchase advertising on FB, is this also possible on Instagram? I'd be grateful to hear your opinions and expriences
Both advertising methods works You can read about instagram ads here : https://business.instagram.com/ And some good insights from Neil Patel: https://neilpatel.com/blog/drive-sales-with-instagram/ Hope this helps, good luck
I have better following on FB, but I think Instagram drives more engagement to my business. It really depends on your target audience. Statistics show that absolute majority of users are under 30 and most of them are females. However, on FB there are lots of elderly users. Keep that in mind. But! I don't really see a reason to not use both of them.
Both. Yes, they both have advertising. Having a Facebook presence for a small business is a must though, but trying both puts you in a better position. You definitely want to prioritize the one that does better after results come in.
Not true. My father ran a small business for 40 YEARS without a Fecesbook presence. And I have run my business for 40 YEARS without a Fecesbook presence. Spewing lies is NOT the way to gain friends and influence people.
I I respect what you have done I truly do. Congratulations on doing so well. But I'm sorry to inform you, you operated for 40 years before Facebook even existed. I admire that you were able to do that, but please try to compete as a small business in today's world with your mindset and your business will fail GUARANTEED. Best of luck!
He has, he's been in business for 40 years, I wouldn't call that a failure, Facebook is the cancer of the internet, nobody really needs it to be able to run a successful business, some people just think they do.
I have heard similar prognostications for 40 years, yet I am still paying my bills. "They" said that I could NOT survive without accepting credit cards. I am still here and have never accepted credit cards with all of the attendant problems like cost, charge backs, and so on. "They" said that taking personal checks would bankrupt me. I am still here. Roughly one third of all sales are paid by personal checks, the vast majority from people I do not know and will NEVER see in person, yet I cannot remember the last time I received a bad personal check, although I know for a fact that I have received NONE since 2006 some 13 years ago. "They" said I cannot do this, I cannot do that, yet I keep doing this and that and keep paying my bills. Bottom line is that I take care of my customers which is much more important than ANYTHING the peanut gallery has to say about the issue. I clarified your post for those who might think that I might have gone bankrupt many times in the last 40 years.
yes, first you have to define target audience to have bigger and wider understanding of it. basically, ig is for people under 30, facebook is for older people
It's depend. Maybe, you can use Facebook or Instagram. For example: If you business is about Fashion, maybe Instagram can be a better alternative.
I prefer IG. Plus there are many Instagram automation tools for gaining likes and followers. It is obligatory to attract as many potential customers as possible, especially when you are just starting out with business. Otherwise, you will not scale your brand. Unfortunately, without bots this task is complex. For my biz account promotion, I have tried BigBangram up. The service faced its challenge and I got genuine fofollowers.
Thanks for the info. I am interested in learning more about Instagram as I've never had much to do with it before. Appreciate the links
Thanks for the input everyone. My target audience is 18-25 and mostly female so Instagram sounds like the right platform to target
