Effective communication between the web designer and client

Hey everyone, hope you are having a great day

I believe communication is one of the main factors which contributes to great design, leading to a successful long-term and maintaining cooperation. On the other side, the lack of communication could potentially lead to unpleasant cooperation, resulting in the consequences such as lowering the rate of your work, a client trying to direct the designing process or even worse, devaluing your expertise.

Given the importance of communication, I am doing some research for my studies regarding communication between a designer and their clients, the process of it and all the factors which are improving the efficacy and quality of your partnerships.

Since this place meets a lot of professional designers with a wide set of experience, I would find it very useful if some of you could share some of your career experience and problems you meet, which would significantly help me understand the process and possibly improve it.
