    Putting your website to directories hardly generate any traffic. I have submitted my blog to some directories. It helped a lot to increase domain metrics but in terms of website traffic. It is really not effective.

    Best thing to do is just search, Find a few, Do some research, I like looking on trustpilot (Popular Known Directories) like yell and so on, It gives you an idea on what others really think that have used them.
