No-follow spam back-links built through low quality blog commenting can never be important for Ranking in SEO. Rather they'll make your website spammy and punishable by major search engines.

    So, quality links building is important for Ranking in SEO because they increase your DA, PA and traffic on your website. It also informs search engines that your website has supports from authorized sites.

    backlinks shows if you are relevant it is my simple explanation. If someone puts a backlink to your website it means that you are doing something right. And I am not speaking about bad backlinking practices but about the real deal ;)

    When you created the website then none of the webpages have any page value or popularity but when you build some quality backlinks from the niche websites then it adds some value to the webpage (pass link juice) that will help to improve the search rankings.
