I like to read what others have written on the topic, view videos on the topic, read forums on the topic, find out what questions people are asking about etc.

Of course, drinking coffee is essential XD

Yet another die hard coffee drinker. I am convinced that good coffee is synonymous with good writing.;)

I'm a blogger, so I'm writing articles for my blog. And sometimes I have a problem with my inspiration: I don't know what to write in the next post, or just don't want to do this. So I use guest posting in my blog. Guest post - this is an article on the blog, which was written not by me but by one of the visitors, readers, guests of the blog or another blogger. Also, I can buy guest posts. Adsy-service helps me with it. Using this service I also can find the most relevant guest blogs for my niche. If you want more information click here https://adsy.com/guest-blogging-article-links

When writing is your hobby, that's an advantage when you have a day of tune. You can always write some spare articles when you have inspiration. The only problem is that you don't know the subject you have to write about. Your off time usually doesn't last too long and
you can take some decent margin in your delivery time.

I understand what you're saying but I doubt anyone will compensate you for what someone else has written.

@Adrian Joele for some it isn't merely a hobby but the way they make a living. Therefore the luxury of writing when in "tune" is not always an option.

It's possible if I, as a writer, privately hire another writer to help me write the article. I can still get the job done, of course the profit is shared :)

True, for the off days, fiverr might come in handy :)

This doesn't answer the thread though lol

My answer was coffee and I'll stick with that ;)

There are no tricks or tips that will really help by just knowing them. You simply have to bleed and get used to bleeding.

Actually there are.....strong coffee, good background music, and looking at all your bills piling up are all good motivators when you are not in the mood to write.;)

It is known as Writers' block, common to all. Don't force yourself to write at these times, credibility and creativity of the content will be lost.
Just calm yourself and participate in activities that interest you.

In essence I agree with what you've written but...what if you have a deadline to meet and bills to pay? What if your clients are relying on you to produce? What do you do when not in the mood to write?

Now that can be a very critical situation.
You know you have to deliver and you may write also but what if the clients are not satisfied with your work. Wouldn't it be bad for your reputation?

I believe sorting out with clients is one way, but if they are adamant, then that becomes a good motivation for your writer's block. ;)

Years ago I was under contract for an advertising firm. There was no ifs, buts, or whens about it. We on the team had to produce irritating slogans and jingles and articles whether or not we felt like it on time, as to the clients expectations. It sometimes made me feel like a trapped zoo animal. I got out but still wonder how writers who stay in, can write when not in the mood for decades as they sometimes do.

It's like this... There was a friend of mine I used to hang out with - some years ago. Back when we lived in the same town he was really out of shape. After I moved away, there were three or four years where we lost contact.

Not long ago we bumped into each other. Not only had he lost a ton of weight but he'd also taken on more of a chiseled, athletic build. When I asked how he did it, he said everyday I just did ONE pushup.

Of course, I had to follow that up, right?

Me: What do you mean you just did one pushup?
Friend: Oh yeah, I did one pushup. Then another... Then another and another - until my arms just wouldn't go any further.
Me: How many do you think you did each day?
Friend: I usually stopped counting after 100.
Me: You mean, you did over 100 pushups everyday for the past I dunno how many years? I'm confused. So, why did you say you just did one pushup then?
Friend: The hardest one was always the first pushup. So long as I could follow through on #1, the rest came easy.

It's the same with writing. That first word is always the most difficult. But after jotting down word no. 1, that slow trickle of words gradually becomes a steady flow. Hope that makes sense ;).

I can't write when my mood is not good because it's important when you write your mood is good when your mood is good you write better and you have new ideas about your topic you write well when you have a relaxed mind and I can't write when my mood is not good because this time I have no idea about my topic and I can't write well. I think everyone writes there topic when they have a relaxed mind.

For me it's impposible to write something interesting when I am not in the mood. However, I can easily write about hair, beauty, weddings etc. I think even if you don't want to write you need to do it at least half an hour.
