Problem with ads approval for my site

Hi, first time post, but I believe this is the correct place for it.
    My Problem:
I am trying to approve an ad so it can be shown on my website. I have clicked on the 'Approve' link after viewing the ad for properness, and it will display an 'Ad Approved' banner at the top of my Review Ads page.
However, The ad will not move from its' location, and I am not seeing any revenue from it.

I have tried to complete this action a few times over the course of the last few days, but with no success.

I have a few different ad locations across my website pages, and I have the proper code (as far as I can tell).
On the ad locations, it simply displays the following text:
    Your Ad Here
Advertise your products or services in this ad space.
Please help. What am I doing wrong?

    Kind Regards.

    ..just an update to this-
I have received another ad to approve/deny.
It is still doing the same thing, and now I have attempted to Approve it using both Chrome, and Firefox.
It says the ad is approved, but nothing is happening still.

Just because an ad is approved by you, doesn't necessarily mean the advertiser is running it currently. Is that what you are asking? The advertiser controls when it runs.

Ok, that makes sense. I was under the impression that the ad campaign was preloaded and just waiting for approval/deny.
    Thankyou for clearing this up.
I will mark your answer as best.
