    Flash and CSS?

    Explain how that would work.

My opinion? Full flash site = bad.

    not a very fair comparison.
Most of flashes advantages stem from its actionscript abilities, something css just can't do.
Css is really just for structure and design.

not everyone has what it takes to display flash on their computers. chances are some people who visit these sites would have to download something to view it properly.

I know that there's some script which makes you go to the normal HTML site if your browser does not have/ does not want to install Flash player.

Google won't know what to think, because it doesn't know about Flash (applications) like it does websites. Comparing using a Flash file as your entire website to using a video as your entire website... for the purpose of SEO, the only difference is that you can't interact as much with a video.

I'd love to hear any input concerning what Google does know about Flash files.

use css to structure the site and text, and use flash in areas where you need anything with fancy movements and controls. The best is to have a static image display if the person does not have flash installed so that the site does not look broken

    Advantages:

Flash - Nice presentation, draws attention to viewers.
CSS - Eye-catching designs, can be used in SE friendly sites.

    Disadvantages:

Flash - Requires Flash player, not SE friendly, slow load, can eat large amount of bandwidth.
CSS - Some codes does not take effect on some browsers.
