No, you can still get a new account approved. It's just very very difficult sometimes now haha.

I've heard not very good news about this service. More and more people complain that they block their accounts for no reason and they can't withdraw their money from there.
Some people earn thousands of dollars there and lose it because of their dishonesty.
And it's not only about this service. Several big freelance services have such issues last month. So be accurate, please.

I know one trick. Write rare skills in your profile. For example, if you are IT specialist add Oracle DBA. The main idea is to show the rarity of your qualifications.

Also don't forget that Upwork clearly tells you what can increase your chances of getting approved, including taking many different types of (free) tests on their platform

Upwork is accepting but to be honest its not very useful for new freelancers. You have to bid extermely low to get even noticed and if you bid for 5,6 jobs without getting accepted, they will banned you as they won't see profit from your profile. But still, you should try. Without trying, you can't accept the rejection. Even if they don't take you, there are plenty of forums. Freelancers is easier, effective and cooler than upwork in so many ways.

You will rarely get any job and if you apply to too many jobs like 30 or so within 1 week then they will ban your account. And Freelancer.com now asks for GST from Indians, how come a freelancer register a company and provide GST? Registering company costs tons of money. Better start html website offering your unique services and spread words on social media.
After Google killed SEO with Artificial Intelligence and banned thousands of apps from Playstore. Unemployment is everywhere and has risen by 8%-10% for past 3 years in India as far I read in newspaper.

They are wanting freelancers with expertise. If your profile does not have a combination of skills and expertise it might get rejected. What kind of skills? Tech adjacent fields would be a good example.
Also use authentic personal data...don't b.s. them as you will soon be found out when they do their verification check.;)

8 to 10 percent unemployment only from banning apps from playstore. that's bad. I read, Google says these were spammy apps and had viruses/malware in these...
You are right... upwork is useless ... people give peanuts and upwork take too much commission. I don't use this sh***y service anymore...
