I was thinking about registering some domains and sell them.

Which registrar should I use ?

Any fees if the buyer stay with the same registrar ?

    Thank you.

Over the years I have registered over 100 domains through http:///www.godaddy.com and never had any problems. Good luck!

    Thank you drig !

If I register domains with godaddy and sell them, are there fees involved for me or the buyer (if the buyer keep the domain at godaddy ?)

It is free to push the domain to another account.

No , no fees ever :D

Namecheap.com is actually easier to transfer a domain though.

godaddy you need ALL of there info then they must go through a list of steps to get the domain in there account but for namecheap you just enter their username and its all done :D

    Or there is domainsite.com

Easy as peach to transfer domains there, all you need is an account code and its done in 5 seconds. Also their prices are the best out there excluding various promotional offers (like Godaddys current 6$ .com offer)

I've always used GoDaddy.com for this kind of things, but I've heard a lot of people using RegisterFly.com.

Namecheap has always been my registrar of choice, but recently I've been registering with Moniker. Moniker is very serious about domain security, and if you are building a website for your company, what could be more important than security? If you get special pricing, Moniker is actually cheaper than Namecheap, but one nice thing about namecheap is the free privacy protection. Overall if you go with either of these two companies, you should be fine.

Godaddy does have nice specials, but the one thing I don't like about them is how long account changes seem to take. Their new control panel is a lot nicer than their old system, but it can still be confusing at times.

I use both namecheap and godaddy because of the free privacy protection. And my favourite is definately namecheap for ease of use.

However, I've been advised to spread my regsitrations around as I want to interlink sites so I'm looking for other registrars that offer free privacy protection. Anyone know of any others?

I've tried Registerfly and ipower but found their process too cumbersome and time-consuming.

    Cheers
    Gillian

I remember www.1and1.com also offered free privacy, I didn't check if they still do.

I have used iPower, NameCheap , GoDaddy & 1and1(No hosting with either of these though, HostGator & ASO rocks IMHO).
NameCheap and GoDaddy are best. iPower is also ok, I never had any issues with them
even if they are not considered that good.
Not too sure about 1and1, keep hearing stories about trouble in transferring out from them, Never tried it myself though.
