Looking for links for our Website. Please let me know, how to choose a blog for link building, what is the criteria to determine a website for guest blogging nowadays, such as PR, DA, PA and other?
I use the Ahrefs service for these purposes, but it could be Moz or SemRush alternatives. Usually, we prepare articles on various topics. Then I search for Media or Blogs, which write on this topic. Usually, each article we write can be sent to different websites. To determine which site is more likely to give us a greater effect, we check them through the services I have mentioned. It gives us a comparative understanding of which website has more audience. Who has a higher domain rating, and therefore dofollow links from them will bring more benefits. We also manually check the level of activity of the audience of these resources - we check this by looking at the number of comments to their articles.
DA is an important factor when you check for guest posting sites. Higher the DA more value your content will have. Also, the article will gain good traffic.
Check DA, PA you can use kw finder plugin or some other. Then check link type (dofollow or nofollow) second useless. Try to get dofollow links from highest PA pages.
1. Niche relevant 2. Site actually gets traffic-1000+ per month 3. DA/TF metrics PR isn't publicly viewable and not sure why it's still talked about in 2018. PA is useless as your guest post will be a new Page, thus starting at zero. Search Engines rank pages not websites. Only time PA is relevant is if you're having your link placed within an existing post that may have a PA rating. Like the "broken link" method.
If you can get on a great blog that's awesome that will truly help! But I would take chances to guest post on lower ranked blogs as long as they are not paid guest post blogs.
In Thailand we have free blogging platforms in Bloggang and OK Nation, these high DA sites get high traffic. The blogs contain articles from several niches and are organized into different categories and directories.
Don't forget that those metrics you've mentioned are "made up" and some of them are easy to manipulate. you should use them as a filter but there are other important factors IMO: -niche relevancy -quality of content on the site -traffic -low OBL -SSL
thats changing the destination of a pre-existing link - for example, finding an authority site that links to a similar website/post to yours but that site is already dead or the destination page went MIA - you could possibly reach out and ask for the webmaster to place you link instead.
1. Check out the Moz site explorer. What does it say about the site? Go with that. 2. Look at the site... are they doing anything shady? Selling links? Covered with pop-ups-and ads? Avoid those. 3. Look at their backlink profile.... do they have quality sites pointing to them? 4. How recently have they been updated? Is it a blog that hasn't had a post in a decade? All of these are easy ways to determine if a blog link is worth your time.
