My website isn't getting any traffic from google

My website has 17 HQ backlinks, plenty of quality content but still no traffic from the search engines. link to the website: history news

What's wrong? what should I do to fix this problem? Website has been created ~3 months ago. Indexed links are not climbing up in the search engine.

 

For one thing, your site is still brand new.
Your site is also infected with malware.
you are not using https://
You may have other issues also....

case studies have proven that it can take up to a year to start really making any progress ie: better/improved rankings; You want something to happen overnight, and rarely does anything happen within the first 6-9 months of a sites life, and with your niche, I would not really expect anything to happen anyways.

SEO is a long term strategy. Don't expect results overnight, but keep working on making quality content and the results will come. As long as you keep to Google's quality guidelines.

 

https is not the factor here. The fact that matters is that its too new to state anything.

 

The 'https' is a major ranking factor now as mentioned in Google webmaster blog. Hence you must get that fixed as soon as you can.

Also it seem your website does not have enough backlinks that can help you to rank in Google. That is another major reason why you are not getting traffic from Google.

You know, you are right. I am seeing it too. As google is pushing this https issue, so more and more people are going for letsencrypt or clouflare types of services. But these free SSL aren't providing much of a protection. Instead of that they are causing serious problems to the webmasters. I atleast hear 10 complaints everyday about people saying "My SSL has stopped working, what to do?", "so what type of SSL are you using?", "I am using Letsencrypt".

 

No Link building done, no promotion done I checked...

I would recommend you to wait for the google update and then see. Also you need to understand that there are competitors and on which page of SERP you are.

 

It depends on multiple factors why a website is lagging in creating good number of views, why not engaging users, why not improving it's ranking.

Likewise you have to create a viewership that solves their questions. It will reduces your bounce rate and keep getting more readers to your blog and it is one of the positive signal to improve your ranking.

 

17 high-quality link do nothing if you do not optimize your website for the Search Engines and the Users as well.
