Recently Google announced a new update in their algorithm. Google to stop supporting public URL submissions to its search index. I think to have the good site and bad site both. Google says, still working webmasters tools, you should submit content only through Search Console’s Fetch as Google tool or via sitemaps. But I have a question? How will you index your public URL or created SEO backlinks? Your created SEO backlinks how will you add in the Search Console’s Fetch?
But without fetch how you will index your created backlinks. Created backlinks are not possible to verify in google search console.
Like as, If you create profile backlinks then how will you index in Google? because profile backlinks are not your personal web and how to verify in Google search console?
We don't fetch or do anything to our backlinks. We just creates them and leave. Search console picks them up automatically.
There is no need to do anything with backlinks as mrb said, search engine crawlers are smart enough to find the updated and fresh content on the web for indexing and also index the link as well.
I don't do anything other then using the fetch url in search console every now and then if I'm trying to troubleshoot something.
