For technical copywriting, I would suggest Handbook of Technical Writing by Gerald J. Alred
It has many useful tips on articles structure organization, on how to write about complicated things and how to check finished texts.
The book could be useful for any software or Apps developing projects.

I would recommend "A beginner's guide on how not to get banned".

I agree that the tools we use are constantly changing. But the basic techniques remain steady. To be a good copywriter requires only that you learn the buying psych. Develop the ability to influence emotions to make the purchase and the skill to stimulate justification for the purchase.

Get that right and get your message in front of the right eyeballs and I believe it really doesn't matter in what form you present your message.

Another related site to copywriting is copyblogger.com. I love their site and get lots of helpful information. Copy and business both.

    Cheers!

John Reese has a great course called Traffic Secrets in which he teaches traffic (of course), but he has a copywriting section which really helped me start off with copywriting. He gives formulas to make it easier for one to get going in the start.

Not to mention Jim Edwards has created a software called Funnel Scripts which I love as it helps one create sales letters, webinars etc...

You just answer questions for whatever it is you want to create and you generate a copywriting piece which of course you would just need to polish.

    Works for me :)
