How can I join Upwork?

I really want to join Upwork but I couldn’t achieve this yet. My profile has been rejected many times. What do you recommend for me? Thanks in advance.

First of all, thank you very much for your interest. My profile rejected many times with this message: “We’ve reviewed your profile and currently our marketplace doesn’t have opportunities for your area of expertise. If you have more relevant skills or experience to add, you can update and re-submit your profile.”. But my profile include plenty of professional skills. I didn’t understand this system. What do you recommend for approving my profile?

 

Get in contact with their support staff, if you haven't already, and start a dialog about your situation. May I ask what kind of professional skills/expertise you are offering?

 

I have tried many times get in contact with support staff, but I couldn't achieve this. Because I can't select the category for submitting message. The category selected is required for the submitting post. I think there is a bug this. By the way, I have got professional graphic design skills. (Business Card, Logo, Flyer, Invitation, Banner Ad etc.) I don't know what to do.

 

Fix your skillset and take several tests to verify your skills.

Alot of people are being rejected for having seo in their skill set as they say they have enough people already

I suggest to add more info about yourself. More in depth descriptions, include more certificates, etc

 

Browse other freelancer's account...
see what skills thy have used, and how they are listed.
find someone related to your skills and get the idea, how they have explained their skill set
its more about finding the presentation -that could impress the managing team of upwork ..
they may found your profile incomplete or naive,that's why they didnt' consider you.
try to be as complete as you could
upload professional pic of yours
list all skills you have, and what you are offering at their site
and wait
wish you get your account approved

 

Alot of people are about to see a big change in Upwork and a few other freelancing sites because they are limiting what countries you can work from.

 

Upwork is too saturated with freelancers. Often they don't approve you, and even if you get approved, you don't get any business as being a newbie isn't really they give job to.
Jobs usually go to people with high ranking or 90%+ customer satisfaction.
