$650+/month solid revenue PR5 Video Site - Custom Design

I am testing the waters for selling www.zoovip.com

The site uses the Humor Software script and a professionaly custom coded CSS design. The software and admin is very easy to use.

There are 372 registered users of the site with email addresses that could be directly marketed to. The site averages a Bookmark percentage of 50% according to awstats.

I have sold no text links and with a PR5 and the traffic someone could make a decent amount of revenue from text links alone.

Several directory submission services have been used and I have made several PR1-PR5 permanent link purchases.

Traffic: Varies widely but always over ~700 per day. Somtimes as high as 2500-3000 per day depending on how I am promoting it. I have used Stumble Upon and Leenks with great success getting several thousand hits every time I submit.

I also used paid advertising through Adbrite spending a few dollars ($3-$7) per day for additional traffic. Some of the Adbrite is paid up for another few weeks.

I have also had previous success posting in forums.

    Stats:

    http://www.zoovip.com/stats1.gif
    http://www.zoovip.com/stats2.gif
    http://www.zoovip.com/stats3.gif
    http://www.zoovip.com/stats4.gif
    http://www.zoovip.com/stats5.gif

Revenue: Has primarily been through google adsense. I kind of use a Adbrite/Adsense arbitrage and also retain some traffic.

Google has produced over $4000 since May.

    http://www.zoovip.com/adsense1.gif
    http://www.zoovip.com/adsense2.gif

I also earn $1-3 per day with the adbrite ads.

One could also sell text links, banners, or use direct email.

I am selling the site because I do not have enough time to add fresh content. Spending 1/2 hour to an hour a day adding new content makes a world of difference. I just do not have the time to do that.

Continuing to use the Adbrite/Adsense arbitrage will produce good income and grow traffic with fresh content. The problem now is people come back but see the same content and stop visiting. Also other promotion via Stumle, Leenks, forums, etc will make this site a power house.

Most people here know what a resonable starting price is. I do not have a Reserve or BIN, I will let the sale stay open for about a week (that should give everyone a chance to see it). I reserve the right not to sell if I cannot come to a price I am happy with.

    Thanks for looking.

Pure profit varies. The great advertising imput, the greater the profit. The key is effective shopping the advertising and good ads.

In the past 30 days I spent $64.78 on Adbrite. Google revenue was $625.68. Adbrite revenue was $38.79. Pure Profit of 628.69

There have been months of well over $1k in google revenue but spent $150 in advertising.

Your google ad placement is in violation of their new TOS with respect to images next to ads.

That is of debate. My ads are significantly different than the violation examples they use. I specifically use a different font and layout as not to confuse visitors. My site has been looked at on multiple occaisions by the Adsense Team with no comment ever made about placement.

That post is actually directly from google's blog which is what I was refering too. Again I use a spefically different font and do not try to mimic the Google ad with text similar to the "Ads by Google" shown in the TOS violation examples.

Google specifically address this and uses the bench mark of deceptive practices as the test. I do not feel my ad trys to deceive the user into clicking it.

Additionally, if you do not have an interest in the site, it is preferable to keep sales threads clean of non sales related posts. I see that you are new but just a little advice.

    Thanks for your input.

As an owner of an AdSense video site, I'm going to venture to say that Google wont care about yours. The font is significantly different, and easy to differentiate.

    Good luck with the sale.

    I have the same question.

In addition, do you have permission to display the videos you use? (Where are they taken from?)

    The CTR is too high.
Video sites normally have less than 1% CTR.
    Can you explain this?

To answer all of the above questions: The videos must be added manually, this is why I am selling. I do not have time to upate.

I would certainly keep it if they updated automatically as it is a goldmine. Current traffic and revenue would be huge if I could keep it updated. With a 50% bookmark rate I am certainly getting a lot of repeat visitors. Unfortunately, they see the same old content and don't come back.

The videos themselves are basically public domain. I have specifically stayed away from posting some videos because of this. I have seen many site publishing clips from SNL, the Chapelle Show etc. I have not.

I have a number of sources for the videos which I will share with the new owner. Also users can post their own videos.

As for the CTR, it seems relatively normal to me for a well placed ad above the fold in the middle of the page. May be a little higher because of the lack of fresh content. Some of the repeat visitors might click the ad rather than typing in a new we address to find some content.

As for a price range, I am looking for a reasonable price. The site made over $4300 in in 7 months plus adbrite revenue. At that rate 10 times month income is over $6000.

However, most people boster their income with link sale which I have not done. There is still a lot of room for revenue growth here especially with the PR5. This is not an MFA site and the pages are not litered with ads. Plus the design and logo is custom and the short brandable domain name carries a lot of value.

I also think the stability of the revenue adds value. Some people here try to sell a 3 week old site for 10 times monthly revenue.

I think the site is easily worth $10,000 or more based on these factors. Does that mean that is my reserve? NO. I feel it is doubtful that the site will sell for this much because everyone is looking for bargins. I am willing to consider any and all reasonable offers. Of course, if someone thinks they can pick the site up for $1000 I suggest you keep looking.

In essence, I am looking for a starting bid of $3000+

Very nice site. Um, I can only see a PR of 4, not 5 for the mainpage. Is this me?
