    Hi,

I want to have a link on a page, so that when a user clicks the link an image shows up that wasnt originally there. But, the image should go in a 'layer' on top of the html, so the whole page wont get messed up and nothing shifts.
Is this possible and can anyone point me in the right direction ?

    Thanks!

Sounds like you want a pop-up

    No, not a pop-up.
Not a new window, but an image 'floating' on the page.
