Contest $20 contest for Soldier Design with a twist

Hello again talented people,

I need your help again. I need to have the three soldiers in this picture below turned into some silhouettes, drawings that will be used afterwards in a logo. So try and crop the soldiers in the photo and bring them closer to each other and send me what you think I can use in a logo.



You can use colours or just black and white or use whatever type of drawing/vectorising/stylizing program you have or use your own touch.

One challenge you will have is with the third soldier where part of his body is covered by the person sitting in front of him which means you can copy the body from the soldier in the middle. As these three soldiers will be used in a logo the small details are not too important.

Winner gets $20 via paypal. NO PM entries please. Please post here and if you have any questions please ask. I would like to end this in around 48 hours

 

RJMV: thank you for getting this started. Somehow I was expecting something a little more detailed but nevertheless I can use your design if I do not get something better. Please don't mistake my criticism for saying I do not like it. I do, I can use it but was hoping for something a little more detailed (though once again I am a little confused and I'm not entirely sure what to expect)

ad18: thanks for this. Pretty much what I said above to RJMV. However, I like his design better as it seems to have a little more detail.

 

Thanks for the update, I will try to make a version with more details, perhaps some highlights inside the soldier silhouettes.

tosario: thank you for entering this contest. I realize I said I am not specific about what I want but while I appreciate your entries they look too much like a photography (good photography) and I wanted something a little less realistic. I hope I am making sense.

3SS: great to see you again. This looks very good. It is also one I am considering. Great job. One small thing which I am sure you can rectify if I choose your design is the gun is missing from the first soldier.

To be honest I could close the contest right now and I would be happy with at least three of the designs submitted. I still do not have a clear winner in my mind. Right now my favorite ones are: ]\/[ar]< , getdomain4u and 3SS I am going to get some rest and if I don't receive anymore entries then I will most likely pick a winner from the ones I just mentioned.

 

An improved version with smoother edges not pixelated.

 

Once again sorry for the late reply. I just couldn't make up my mind between the three entries I liked very much. I never done this before of all the contests I have had here at dp, meaning I couldn't decide so I had someone else choose for me the winning entry. As there can only be one winner, the winning entry is @3SS as long as he agrees to add the gun (bayonet) to the soldiers. Please PM me so I can send you the payment.

Please add gun to all three if you can. In the original photo the soldiers were twisted so you couldn't see the guns but if you can please add the guns to the other two that would be great. And one last final thing, on the sleeve you will see they have a "esarfa tricolora" or "banda tricolora" (I hope my Romanian is good enough so you can understand it . Can you please add the three colors to the sleeve like in the original photo? So everything is as it is but only around the sleeve to have the three colors.

BTW, I didn't choose your entry as the winning one haha. Someone else did since I couldn't make up my mind between yours and two other ones. But now that this person chose yours then of course you are the winner. Thanks again and I look forward to the changes.
