Hello I am looking for someone who can help me build a fitness app.
I will set the total price of the project at $650.
See below for the full details.
    Fitness app

The purpose of the fitness app is to build a fully comprehensive app which incorporates everything needed for a fitness app and a website to match.

Users will be able to log on or sign up via the app/website.

This is being made for both Android and IOS.

The app will be broken down into different modules.

    1. Weight tracker/progress

    2. Meal tracker

    3. Meal planner

    4. Exercise tracker/workout tracker

    5. Workout planner

Each of these modules will be explained fully.

    App/website summary

With this fitness app users will be able to track their fitness progress, so they are able to have a workout diary which can track their progress with certain lifts. They can also set goals, and using different data given by the user and the goal the user would like to achieve it will work out some recommended variables to stick to for them to achieve their goal, such as calories and Marco limits. Also, users will have the freedom to manually change their calorie goal or macros at will. They should also be able to track their weight loss progress by inputting their weight on a regular basis, also be able to produce graphs.

There will also be a meal tracker similar to myfitnesspal app, users will be able to add in there food they had during the day and quantity and this is be deducted from their calorie goal.

There will also be a meal planner generator, this section will allow users to create a meal plan for an entire day each meal will come with a recipe. Users can choose ingredients they want to have and then restrict any foods they do not wish to have such as allergies etc. They can add this meal plan to their meal tracker, users will also have an option to choose single meals that they wish to add and then can change the quantity of this meal, so they can make the meal larger or smaller or edit the meal by removing things. Each of these meals will be linked to a recipe.

And lastly there will be a workout planner and tracker, we will have pre-made workout routines which users can add and then remove or add in different exercises as users see fit. Users can see a list of exercises they have performed which they can click on and they will be shown all previous amounts they have done.

ALL OF THESE WILL BE EXPLAINED THORUGHLY AS WE GO THROUGH THE SPECIFICITIONS.

    Weight Tracker/Progress and Goal set

A section is needed to determine a user’s goals and calorie requirements to match that goal.

These are the following criteria for this module.

    1. To determine the user’s goals

    · Fat loss

    · Maintain Weight

    · Muscle gain

    2. The number of calories and macronutrients the user must eat for their goals

    3. To be able to change either calories or macros manually by the user.

A user needs to input the following information for the goal setting:

    1. What is your Height (feet/cm)

    2. What is your Weight (lbs/kg/stones)

    3. What is your Activity Level

    4. How many meals do you eat?

To work out the number of calories users must eat the site will use these formulas found here: http://www.superskinnyme.com/calculate-tdee.html

Here the formulas will work out how much the user must eat in a day to maintain their body weight, this is called the TDEE. This is why we need the questionnaire, so we can work this out. To work out Marco nutrients it will be the following.

    1. Protein= 1 gram per 1 pound of body weight.

For example, is a person weighs 150 pounds then the first thing the meal planner will work out will be that the person needs to eat 150 grams of protein. As 1 gram of protein is 4kcal, therefore 150 grams of protein is 600 kcal.

    2. Fat= 20% of the calories will come from fat.

To work this out if you have 2000kcal to eat in a day 20% of that is 400kcal so that is the calories of fat you have to eat. 1 gram of fat is 9kcal so in a day this person would need to eat 44.44 but we can round to the nearest 5 so 45 grams of fat in a day.

    3. Carbs= The remaining calories after working out the fats and protein and then to find out the macro nutrient you divide by 4 to get the number of grams the user needs.

It is also very important for the user to be able to able to change their calories or macros manually, when setting the goals there will be an option which will allow to automatic calculation of the users calories dependent on their physical variables such as weight, so as user change their weight the calorie and macro goal will automatically change for the user. For example, if I lose 1 pound at the end of the week and input this into the weight tracker then my calories will be recalculated automatically. If, however users choose to change their calories and macros manually then there will be no calculation taking place to work out user’s calorie goals.

    Meal tracker

This will be similar to the MyFitnessPal app, users will be able to add in foods they eat, we can use the MyFitnessPal api which has a huge database for food, so users can scan and or add in custom food also like in MyFitnessPal.

This tracker will also keep a track of the users remaining calories and macros left for a given day. Users can also copy a specific meal to another day.

    Meal planner Specifications

    Aim
To create a fully automated meal plan generator for users depending on their weight goals, i.e if they would like to lose weight, maintain weight or gain weight (muscle gain).

    Using the

    Meal plan creation

For this I know we can get recipe apis which we can feed them the set calories and macros and the different foods the user has chosen and will generate various meal plans for the user. This way the user has unlimited amount of meal plans to choose from. And some of these apis will actually create recipes for the user to use.

Here are some of the best apis I could find and some of them can work for this purpose https://askwonder.com/q/what-are-th...hat-we-can-access-or-56ea53627dd8813200dcb0a3

Users are then able to transfer the meal plan over to the meal tracker and they can click and view the recipes for each of the meal. Also, be able to change the quantity.

If a user has added a meal from the meal planner, the name of the meal should appear they should be able to see the nutritional breakdown of the meal i.e the macronutrients, micronutrients, fibre etc. But if they see the breakdown of the meal with the each ingredient then they are also able to see the nutritional breakdown for each of the ingredient.

Users should be able to save specific meals or the whole meal plan for the day, so they can add it to the meal tracker instantly.

    Exercise tracker/workout tracker

This is similar to a meal tracker, users will be able to add in exercises and then adds in the sets then the weight and reps for each set. There will be a list of pre-added exercises which users find exercise from or add in custom ones.

I also want users to have a list of exercise they have performed, so they can click on any exercise and they can see a list of all the different times they have performed that exercise with the date, weights and sets they did previously.

Each exercise will be linked to the YouTube video which will demonstrate the exercise.

    Workout planner/Creator

This module is to help users to create a workout plan for themselves or find one that is already on there. Admins can also add in workout programs and these will be featured workouts which all users can see use and add them to their workout log, then edit them as needs be.

Users can create their own custom workout plans and save them, so they can add them instantly to their workout log also they are able to change these workouts to better suited for their needs.

As each workout program is added there will be given a summary/notes, this is so the user knows what the workout program is designed to do and any further information they need about the program. Users should also be able like or dislike the workout.

There will be a search feature for workout programs and this search will help users to find pre-made workout programs which are suited to their goals. It will ask users if they want to build muscle, lose weight, gain strength, what level of lifter they are, Gender and age. So each workout will have these search criteria.

    Website
There are two methods we would like to explore to do this website will follow the plan of https://us.lazarangelov.diet/ so it will start with the questionnaire and this data will be fed to the actual app and site. After users sign up they will be redirected to the app.

    Method 1

After users complete the questionnaire they will have the option to pay for a monthly rebill for the app/app website. After they have paid they will be directed to the app which will be not listed or private on the app stores so only users who have paid through the questionnaire can access it through that way.

We will also have the app/app website listed as normal but they will be charged the fee upfront for the app. So there will be two versions of the app, one will be unlisted but free and the other will be for the public but have a price attached to it.

    Method 2

This method will be the freemium model. So the app/app website will be made for free and public for everyone however the meal planner will be locked and users will need to pay to access that one. If they come through the questionnaire and have paid at the end they will be redirected to the app but they will not have to pay for the meal planner section again.

This way we want to make it so there will be ads if users are using it free but as soon as they pay for the meal planner then they will not see the ads either.

    UX

We also need a ux designer who can design all the relevant interfaces and pages for us.

    Pricing structure

Here is where we need to discuss our options with pricing structure, ultimately, we would want a pricing structure which lets users access the app for free and then the meal planner/creator will be locked, and users will have to sign up for a monthly rebill to use that service. Also, this would mean they will not see any adverts on the other parts of the app.

The second option would be after users sign up through the questionnaire they will sign up for a monthly rebill and have them sent to an app with is listed privately and because they have already paid the app will be free. And then have another live version of the app which requires users to pay up front to download the app.

I think this is something that needs to be discussed with parties involved developing this, and fleshing out what would be the best course of action.

It looks a big app (have just read few above lines). You have to increase budget. If you're able to do, we can discuss it.
