    also in addition to this

India can be rightly called as a miniworld

    since

We have that desert which has the lowest rainfall

    and also

cherapunji which has got the highest rainfall

    Himalayas

and India is the only country in the world where a ocean is named after it (Indian ocean)

also we have more cultures than any country in the world and also we have more than 16000 dialects which makes it as miniworld

and also to my prove point

India has acheived more things in her 60 years of Independence

and What America acheived after 60 years of Independence?

if we compare these clearly India would be the leader?

India is the first country to launch rocket attacks in an war and also Tipu Sultan was the first man to invent rockets which could travel over 1KM

here is a text of it taken from wikipedia

you can read the source about him at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipu_Sultan

    So India is the best!

also some body has given me Red or neutral for this post above It think
this is the comment some body gave to me in the red

who said we area third world country?
But I do not care about it

Also see only our political system is not good otherwise Indian would have more better than now

    and also

currently we have more than 75% of population under 35 years of age which is means all of us are working population

I think for the next 50 years there would be no stopping the Indian Tiger

and we are not third world country as some said here It is only some Americans others think that we are a third world country

How do you say India is a third world country?

We are a established Nuclear power and we are one of the 10 nations which has launched space vehicles and how some body here could think that India is a third world country?

and also we are only a step late because of the democracy setup Had there had been a Good knowledgable dictator India would catch America in about
    10 years

So are North Korea & Pakistan.

You're comparing the 18th century with the 20th century.

And yet, we have the largest number of illiterate people in the world, poverty (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4277980.stm), and a large number of deaths caused by hunger.

    Indeed, just like Pakistan:rolleyes:
That was in really poor form Freewebspace. The so called democracy that we have in India is one of the few things to be actually proud of. If India were a dictatorship, there most likely would be a state religion. And censorship. (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=199676)

I do not know why you are talking like this

I just said in my reply "because some one said I am retard because I am speaking about third world countries"

This is my response to them

Also youm left an important point out there

this where the difference lies between India,Paksitan and North Korea

Also I was saying if there was a open minded dictator it would be good for us

I think the he should be a dictator only to politicians and corrupt officials and also if he has more power he could destroy the red tapisim involved in our bureaucracy

Thats what I said but it is hard to find a man like that

Have some unity guys....this is another negative point on India. If our states had united together we would have averted the 200 year British rule

And here you're fighting over trivial matters!

Also that India is said to be a democracy while the other 2 states are dictatorships.

There's no need to take away power from the people & confer it on one person. I'll let the CBI do it's job & deal with corruption among bureaucrats. And a dictator is by definition a person who exercises absolute power & can do whatever he wants. I sure as hell don't want to live under a dictatorship. Do you?

okay let may call him as a supervisor as we do not need those polticians as we spend crores of tax money for them I think we may spending more than 10,000 crores for them

and also if a there is single man who could carry burdens of a country as he can supervise the entire functions of the country("thats why I am calling him as a dictator")

India is an accredited Nuclear power ;) Remember what Bushies did today?

There are far more literate people in India compared to illiterate people. Almost double the number. There are close to 66% people in India literate which is really appreciable considering the amount of people that live in India.

As far as poverty is concerned, with the growth rate India has, Poverty is expected to be conqured pretty soon. India has the 12th highest GDP as well, our Government is also operating various programs with the WHO to reduce the number of Deaths by Hunger :)

Oh and I completely disagree with the Dictator concept proposed by Freewebspace. Democracy is 10 times better. Although I believe that small parties should not be allowed to compete in the elections as they heavily influence the election results and don't let a single party form the majority.

No, however high a GDP we have, its not easy to remove poverty. Most of the fruits of economic progress is going to people who are already quite rich.

Check out the villages...they are the true picture of our country. Delhi, Bombay and Bangalore are great, but whole of India doesw not reside in these cities.

The perfect example of what I'm trying to say is China. Its quite a rich country now, but even then, there are many villages in China whose conditions are worse than Indian villages. There has to be a mechanism for a more equitable distribution of wealth.
