Since Adsense Dropped the 3 Ad Units Per Page Rule, How Many Do You Utilise?

Title says it all. The 3 units per page rule was dropped by Google in early 2016.
This is assuming you have sufficient content to justify the ads, of course.

We're seeing good results running 5 units per page on high quality content sites.

i do it so as you scroll down thru the article there is always one ad visible in the browser screen wherever you are on my page

 

Oh, so now they don't have any set limit. The revenue is dropping due to adblockers so they've decided to go against everything they preached for years. Smart move, though. As for me, I am not going back, unless I absolutely have to.

 

I am using 3 Ad Units per page and doing good. Have a look at this:

I am using more than 5-6 ads on my health and fitness related blog in Hindi.

 

I know this is an older post, but I am running 4K-5K content pages. I just like longer content. I could utilize 12-20 ads per page (with this new rule) because I have a lot of content. My question is the more ad slots you have per page will that make your rpm/cpc go down? When I convert I want max CPC for each one of my niche's, thus the reason for my question.

 

I assume at some point your ads will start repeating themselves, but I don't think it's going to lower your CPC. 12-20 ads per page may significantly slow down your pages. That's the concern I'd have.
