Who has oldest website?

How many internet pioneers belong to DP? My oldest website went public on May 17, 1995. But, it was not until March 28, 1997 that I registered the domain name for that website. Both continue to this day.

The site's design still sucks, but not as bad as the first one. A copy of the original page is still at archive.org. But, the link to the first article is gone.

The copy on my machine is identical except that it uses an updated graphic and whiole it points to the articles, they are no longer shown in their original glory.

I'm not a pioneer but my site went live in 2003 and a lot of the original stuff is still there. I get loads more visitors these days but something I get now which I didn't before is all the spam. Someone even sent spam about viagra in a survey about dog breeds. Weird! it doesn't get published and it's easy enough to hit the delete key.

The THE FREEWARE PUBLISHING SITE site was founded in 1997, the early years of the popularization of the internet. The FPS site was in those days one of the most popular free software providing websites around. Those were the days of many awards and references in magazines and over 20 mirrors all over the world with a daily update. There was also a Windows Forum affiliated to the site. We almost invented the webbased email service called "surfmail"..... But some years ago we had to stop our services and the sites were sleeping in some dark corners of the web.... End 2005 we decided to start again, we restyled the lay-out, changed the database engine and blown the website again to live.

Me too, a domain that is 6 years old, but I think the 11 year old record might be hard to beat, unless someone's website is w3.org lol.

June 13th 1996 at Geocites *gags*. Got the domain for it on February 26th 1997.

Date of registeration has nothing to do with it. It's links.

Mine 11 year old (1995) has PR3 and thats a strong natural PR even though site changed the topic and i never did a $0 advertising. When i bought it, it was PR7 but for some reasons like time and offline life :D I ignored it and then redeveloped it few months back :)

I dont know about # of visitors in past since i never questioned previous owner about that ( I got a pretty good deal :D ) but right now i am getting about 150+ visitors that is 100% natural traffic but returning visitor rate is close to none since the topic has been completely changed and i believe people visiting are looking for old website. I have plans for it but right now i have no time and $$$ to put in for it :)
