Microsoft Security Essentials because its faster at scanning, doesnt slow windows startup as much, doesnt interfer with other apps too much (especially browsers) and also is pretty good at finding the latest malware, viruses, etc.
On PC I'm using Avast (seems to be OK), on my laptop (mac) I don't have one and don't think I need it there.
Kaspersky is good but is not free. Now they have free Kaspersky Security Scan for Windows - it is free.
I was using AVG free anti-virus but it became a resource hog. Now I use Avira and Windows Defender on different PC's.
Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition’s, it has come with fast virus-busting and a clean interface. It has well constructed scanning mechanisms which are universally faster than industry average.
I recommend Antivirus 360, a good program with other advantages. Can be downloaded from official website
My Personal Opinion is it is AVG Antivirus. It is complete suite of various functions. I have a suggestion, you can create a antivirus software. Yours sincerely Anthony Zheng Gao
Thanks for your reply My Bro. Every software has its pros and cons. If you like it then it is okay. However, if factually and practically speaking, if a software is superior it is superior. I would like to try out Avast too.
If you use Windows OS then built-in antivirus is pretty enough in order to keep your machine safe from viruses. Just don't remember to run the program from time to time in order to scan the whole computer.
I tried Avira and hated it (I don't recall why but I know it was serious) so I uninstalled it after less than an hour. I tried Bitdefender and I loved it... except when it overloaded my CPU when scanning anything. Right now, I use Avast and so far, I'm happy with it - it does catch lots of malware (I visit a ton of websites each day while doing blogger outreach and it hasn't let any bugs through yet). And when it comes to paid internet security solutions, I love ESET Smart Security (it has a 30-day free trial so it works as a good short-term solution)
I agree with you, but about Avast and Eset. Also I found good solution and McAfee as a secondary antivirus
