Hello, I'm currently testing out an adlogger with google adsense and my settings at the moment are to allow a maximum of 50 clicks every 2 hours. Is this too high or should I settle for maybe 10 a maximum of 30 clicks every 2 hours? What do all of you suggest? Thank you.
Are you talking in total or per person? If per person then it's way too high, 2 or 3 clicks per person is more than enough for the average visitor. If in total then it really depends on your traffic, but generally a limit would be stupid.
I'm talking about per ip address, but thanks for the insight on limiting clicks from visitors. It is appreciated.
50 is way to high.. I have mine set at 7/hr ... that's based on a site with between 7,000 - 10,000 visitors per day
Hi, Yes, 50 is very high. I'd even say 7 per hour is high. For the sites I run in the 5-7K uniques/day range I set it to ~4 clicks per 24 hours per IP. Cheers,
It is an excellent piece of work by Trevor Fitzgerald that helps protect your ad publishing against excessive and/or fraudulent clicks. It does a great job on my sites. See here: http://www.adlogger.org/
