    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

So how many of you guys are gonna remove pics next to ads?

Is your Adsense check really worth the skepticism?

And yes, I expect when they finally tire of it, this forum will get flooded with tons of "It finally happened" threads.

It’s shocking to me to see so many websites continue to do that. I can't understand how they get away with it but I guess they do.

Google have never tried to stop people increasing clicks in this manner because, at the end of the day it earns them money. Pressure by some big adwords customers must be the reason for this new stance.

About time too in my opinion though.

They don't "get away with it". They "get away with it until someone from Adsense looks at it" or "someone reports them to Adsense". ;)

How much time do advertisers have ? Some of the may have huge websites, and a lot of work to do.

I feel sorry for people with flash/arcade game sites because they were the worst offenders. I can forsse a huge drop in CTR, if this happens.

I never had pictures like that, because this was a long time coming.
Any serious publisher is going to get rid of those pictures that aren't part of regular content.

Is this in force as of now? If not when does it come into force? Looks like ive got a few changes to make. I might just remove google ads altogether to be honest...

I don't think it matters how many of us are going to do it. We're not the ones who decide whether or not to send you your Adsense earnings at the end of each month.. ;)

I'm not so sure in the long run. If advertisers think they are paying for clicks where the user has been tricked they will either stop using adwords or else stop using the site network. Which ends up costing google money.

I'm very pleased to see this new rule. MFA sites next I hope.

I kept meaning to add images next to my ads, but I never got around to it. I guess I won't bother now.

i have never placed images near ads, because ads are ads, and my visitors should know that if they click on the ad they will go to another website.

You could ask google if its all right to put ads beside pictures.

Hell they make allowances for some people.

InteliTxT/Adsense on same page debate anyone? :p
