    I told you so.

You heard it from me first!~ Hahaha.

I told you it was on purpose, to send the remaining editors scurrying for some other pastime before going for the final coup de grace.

While DMOZ was down nothing could be submitted. If your submission went through it was probably before it went down. If it makes you feel better you could resubmit once to the same category, just to be sure. :)

I understand. It is a good way to push up the price of "senior" editors "SEO" work. ;)

No gworld, it is a good way to reduce the amount of spam submitted to Dmoz from spammers.

It looks like most of the spam and illegal porn sites listed in DMOZ is added by "senior" editors, so removing submission page doesn't help. ;)

I have to agree with annie, I'm not having any problems editing or viewing the public side of dmoz.org.

The URL that produced that error was http://www.dmoz.org/ - I can see it now.

    DNS change maybe?

Because bribe offers would flood forums all over the internet?

Not to mention conspiracy theories would flourish - is DMOZ run by corrupt few so they banned new listings and editors? Is every new listing in DMOZ paid for? Is DMOZ run by CIA? Is DMOZ run by Bin Laden? Is DMOZ run by alien body snatchers who have take identity of editors they have killed? ;)
