"Disgusting, sinners, sick people, bestiality, pedophilia, "It is time for California to fall into the ocean once and for all." because of san francisco." http://www.joelcomm.com/hell_in_a_handbasket.html http://www.joelcomm.com/taking_a_stand.html http://www.joelcomm.com/the_not_so_amazing_race.html What da ye thinks?
I think you've completely misrepresented what he's talking about. And he's right. If two men can marry why can't a man and a boy marry? Or a man and a sheep?
Because a man and a boy marrying is fucking retarded. Two men who are old enough to know what is healthy for themselves should be able to do whatever the hell they want with their lives. This is why places like Canada have given up the biggoted act of judging people based on their sexuality. Don't worry though, you're states time will come, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not for another 20 years, but it will come and there's nothing you can do about it.
There's a difference between same-sex couples getting married vs. an animal/man marriage. Get a clue! People who compare bestiality and pedophilia to homosexuality, in my opinion, have no idea what they're talking about.
Allowing the two dudes down the street to share a 401K and health care is the least of my concerns at this point... I wouldn't really care even if I had the time to think about it.
The arguments from the people who want to marry boys/girls and animals are the same as those which argue for same sex marriage. And what if someone wants to marry their sibling? Why should the law dictate what two concenting people can do? That's the point. At what age is a child old enough to decide they want to marry someone. What age difference is too much? http://www.theage.com.au/news/world/woman-marries-dolphin/2006/01/01/1136050339590.html If it's coming, then we're in trouble. Nobody is judging them. That's like saying it's bigoted to call a duck a duck and not allowing it to be called a horse.
The once great Greek society wasn't always embracing of homosexuality. It started to fall apart when they started embracing homosexuality. Homosexuality wasn't the cause. It's indicative of a larger underlying problem: lack of strong moral values. I think a larger problem we have today is people calling people who seek out and murder civilians of their own country "freedom fighters." Also known as "moral equivilance."
Is this the point when everyone starts using big words and talking about politics? hahaha man this does stink of link bait, open a window or light a match...
This is the most moronic argument ever conceived by man. Take a second and look at all the countries that have legalized same sex marriage, which ones are falling apart? Yeah, that's what I thought. You know what, I think the problem is with the people who try to judge and criticize homosexuals under the guise of "moral values", and "moral integrity", and "protecting the children", it's all bullshit in my opinion. Listen closely, if your country falls apart, it's because they are the children, and for whatever reason they never learned to get along with anyone different than themselves. Let's be honest though, your country isn't going to fall apart because of this, and it's not going to turn into some sort of modern day Soddom, all it's going to do is give the people who like push to their noses into the affairs of others another reason to bitch.
Actually countries fall apart because they try to get along with everyone. When you try to appease everyone the biggest asshole is going to stomp on you and you will be ruled by them. Imagine if we had decided to just appease the British rather than starting our own country. Maybe we should just all convert to Islam so the Muslims stop murdering everyone. That would be super fantastic. Just look at how much freedom people have in Islamic countries. No, this "one" thing isn't going to kill us. But your idea is.
There's a difference between getting along with people and letting them walk all over you Kalvin, it's a shame you can't see the difference. In this day and age you can't just throw up a wall and keep people out, you need to learn how to live together and figure out how to make it work. Making children learn english in America, hey, it's perfectly acceptable. You need to be able to speak english to get around here, right? And expecting Muslims to keep their religion to themselves, along with every other religion, it's right on the mark, no one should have to change their way of living just because you believe something different. But telling a gay man he can't be married because you think it's wrong, sorry, but that's crossing a line. What you're doing is entering someone's life and telling them that the way they live is wrong, even though they contribute to society in exactly the same capacity as you do. If you don't see that as wrong, then sorry, this conversation is over, there's no common ground for us to stand on. You think gay people are the only people who get aids? Get your head out of the dirt and read a book there buddy.
Why hello Mr Carter. It's that kind of ignorance that gets people killed. In this day and age sometimes you have to throw up a wall because certain people refuse to stop murdering your citizens no matter how hard you try to play nice. Thanks to that wall, suicide bombings have dropped over 90%. The only other option was for Israel to commit suicide. They are the vast majority of AIDS cases. I wonder if it's possible to trace back AIDS from a straight person to the original carrier and only find straight people and non drug users. It had to start somewhere.
of course they are not the only ones...but let me ask you this...are they helping not spread it? no matter what I say or what you say - neither of us will sway the other agreed? you think it's ok to live that lifestyle I do not...</discussion>
I don't believe we have the right to tell somebody how to live their life. If a person finds happiness with another person of the same sex, who are we to tell them they aren't allowed the same rights as straight couples? You love who you love. Straight people wouldn't want to be told they couldn't love someone; homosexuals deserve that same right.
No one is telling them who they can and can't love. We're just saying that it's not a marriage and that it's not right to take that feeling of love and turn it into a sexual relationship. I imagine you love you a number of people very strongly including your family and close relatives. But there's something in you that tells you that having sex with them wouldn't be right. It is entirely possible to love someone very strongly and not have sex with them.
