The dog: Her name was Nanna, a 60 pound german shepherd mix. She actually was a mystery dog. Someone found her along a road on a stormy night so they took her home, but could not find the owners, or keep her. She was on our local news station a few times, with hopes of finding her owners. No one claimed her. I planned on adopting her, but my uncle (who was then very ill from cancer) beat me to it. When he told me he adopted her, I told him I was going to and he stole my dog. lol. My uncle ended up passing away shortly after adopting her, and before he did, he asked me to take her, which of course I would have anyway. I only got to love her for 6 months and sadly, she was sick most of the time. I eventually had blood work done and she had liver cancer so I did my best to keep her comfortable. Then that became impossible and she was miserable, so we did the kind thing… She was the dog that made me fall in love with dogs. Before her I was more of a cat person. Truly a loving, trusting and sweet dog. I wish I knew where she came from, but I am thankful for the time that we had with her. More pictures -- G r e e n h o r n j a m i e
There is a visible circle in Nanna's thigh in the second picture, is this to designate that the dog has been diagnosed with liver cancer?
