I did an intership @ Edubookers , I was working with online marketing. The tip metricbuzz said is a very good tip. we also worked with a programme called majestics. With that programme we could see the backlinks of our competition. we analysed the backlinks on trust en citation. In this way we found the most important websites. After this we sent our own content to the important websites, hoping for a new backlink to our own website.

What a total load of nonsense. DA plays NO role what-so-ever in the ranking of a site in the SERPS! Google and no other search engine use DA as a metric in their ranking algorithms. Clueless.

I think it's subjective when it comes to differentiating high-quality and quality backlinks, but I believe that the high-quality backlinks come from respectable, trusted sources (such as Wallstreet Journal or Google News), while quality backlinks would be those that help you rank.
