brainstormingin, for some reason it doesn't quite work for me--you can remove it :) . I understand your motivation though.

It certainly doesn't hurt to try something different. Thanks.

Hi again altaf, this entry is much more appropriate to my site than your earlier one.

Remember I want to isolate the letter "g" to be a favicon, so it might look better if your first two letters didn't touch.

    Nice touches.

You may want to try getting the bubble to point closer to "everything local" and, maybe, a more 'standard' font for the "g".

Those are just suggestions. I am not saying they are exactly what is needed to win.

Since these are starting to look more like the theme of the site, I am now asking that you also post an image of the logo/tag-line that is no wider than 210px.

I just want to make sure that the "everything local" is legible at that size.

    Thanks.

    altaf, nice.

Experiment with a few other fonts, maybe.

    xpressions,
I still like the idea with the quote "bubble" but I kinda think the "g" looks like the number "9".

Also, maybe, you might want to consider doing one with the all 5 letters of the logo in the quote bubble....

Here's a first rev. of the concept you proposed. I will work the "g" in my previous entry.

xpressions, thanks for all the latest entries.

IF you have the time, you could put the "everything local" inside the bubble and the site name outside of the bubble.

I just want to make sure that we are able to differentiate the logo vs the tag line.

Nice recent entries prospeareht and altaf.
    :)
If anyone can figure out what font this is:
    http://www.fsboiowa.com/images/logo_font.png

    give it a try.

Oh yeah, don't forget the total size of the finished logo should be no wider than 210 px.
