My design for this contest. The graphic is an abstract of hand with 5 fingers. The maroon part is a letter "U" for "UNITED". The green part is a surgical knife with negative space of person shape in it. Thanks.
The CH clearly mentioned that it is a 48hour contest. In that case I don't think so entries made after 48 hours are valid. @galalogo @izbryte
That's why many designers here did not post any more entries, coz the deadline got over. Unless until the CH says that the deadline is extended designers are allowed to post anymore entries. @Athisa You did like galalogo's comment because you are also similar to his case. @Smyrl @sarahk
Its is not an assumption. That's the fact. I see you are relatively new over here. Here mostly people don't do this kind of activity, posting entry after the deadline. Try to stick on to what the CH mentioned in the first place. That's not a fair entry at all of any means. @Smyrl @sarahk @digitalpoint
Design contests are rampant with problems from the point of both designer and contest holder. This design contest was started over 108 hours ago. Contest was to end over 60 hours ago. Contest holder has not been online in over 60 hours. I would advise any designer to look at contest holder's past history before submitting to any contest. Ask yourself the questions: Does contest holder abandon contests? Does contest holder award winner and if so is it in a timely manner? On the other side I would advise contest holder look into the practices of the designer. Has designer been called out for using stock images or copyrighted elements in his design? (Yes some of the participants in this thread fall have problems in this area. Such at one element found here (https://www.unionbankonline.co.in/ etc.) If contest holder is holding contest for a client, be mindful the client must be consulted before winner is awarded. Consideration for one another is a two way street.
Pardon me. I think this is for my design. Let me explain about this. Honestly, I never know that https://www.unionbankonline.co.in/ before. When I create my design, what I think is to create an abstract of USA (for United Surgical Associates) and how it can have a relation with surgical thing in the same time it have mean associates. So I create what I have posted before an abstract USA with S in negative space and a surgical knife in it. So if my design is a copy of that link, I think CH have a completely rights to ignore my design proposal in his final decision when selecting a winner of his/her contest. I don't mind about that. Thanks.
Hi, I totally agree with @qwerty111 . I think it is just fair and very professional to abide accordingly to CH's rules and guidelines. I was also a greenhorn like a week back, but I never thought of doing things that I know is beyond the rules of every contest I have joined so far. I think it is pretty basic. If the time limit would not be a factor, then the CH would probably not put it there in the first place. I'm not trying to intrude here, I just think that there should'nt have been any argument at all since it is very clear. It is now up to the CH how the decision will be made. Let's just support each other. Maybe we can hear any update regarding this matter CH @izbryte . Thank you and regards.
