Google taking a long time to show backlinks...

I got a link put on a PR6 site a couple of weeks ago. Maybe about two weeks or so. Yahoo has showen the link which is about 10,000 pages, and google has 0. I don't have any links at all and I know there are sites that have my link up that have been spidered.

Anybody have a clue on what's going on?

 

Google updates its backlinks every 3-4 months.

 

Yah... to weeks is a bit too soon for a google update in backlinks. Wait for atleast a month more.

 

Hey you need to wait for Google BackLink Update.
After the next google backlink update check the same.

 

It means that Yahoo does backlinks update every week ?

 

Not sure but usually this is whats happening.

 

Hey it doesn't mean that yahoo is updating backlinks every week. Its also updating backlink after few months.

Is that really it? It was my impression that Google will never give us the back-links given by yahoo/msn...?

i read that google is upgrading their algo in search engine..

Both Yahoo and Google (and MSN..) updates their backlink index regularly. However, Google choose not to show all the indexed backlinks via their search engines using the link: operator. Yahoo, on the other hand, displays most, if not, all of its indexed backlinks of a page.

 

agree, your search engine ranking will be improved immediately after google spider the website where you bought link, but you will see them after the next backlink update. Anyway, google will not show all of your backlinks.

 

Ahh. Ok. That makes sense. Thanks guys. I was under the impression that it was only page rank that was updated every 3-4 months. This really explains it.

How people can wait 3-4 months in this crazy on-Line-on-Demand-on-Everything world of today is beyond me.. better make sure you're in it for the long run

the crazy thing is even when they do an update....they may not even show all of your links...they only show a small fraction

 

Google takes longtime and even then it doesn't display all backlinks

btw is it necessary to get it listed in Google?

 

yeah Google loves to only show that small back links cross section. I'm really starting to like Yahoo more (now that I'm finally getting decent ranks) because I want to make sure bad neighborhoods aren't linking to me.

 

ya google take time to show all link for site ... and its next back link update is on the way...The DC 216.239.53.99 is showing different BL values, for those who like to look at that
