Best sites for hiring freelancers?

I've been using upwork (previously odesk) for years as an employer and I can definitely say that the high commission rate that they get is a huge drawback for both employers and freelancers.
And still, the overall quality of the system and the freelancers in upwork is much better imo than in freelancer.com.

 

Yeah I like fiverr.com because the people who bid on your projects seem to be more competent and you can understand their English a lot better. Freelancer.com is my follow up though as its very cheap due to what I would assume is an overly saturated amount of freelancers looking for work.

 

The major disadvantages of using Fiverr are:
1. 20% revenue sharing with Fiverr, that’s a pretty big fee for them to host your services, other sites do it for less
Limited ways to get paid, mostly relies on Paypal with additional fees
2. 14 day hold time on funds
3. Automatically accepts jobs, limited control for sellers
4. Vendors are not screened

One disadvantage to outsourcing with Fiverr, or in general, for that matter, is that freelancers aren’t screened prior to signing up. This means that people can pretend to have expertise in critical areas, and prove to be inexperienced and incompetent after hiring them.

 

The best sites include Upwork.com, Guru.com, Fiverr.com, PeoplePerHour.com, OnlineJobs.ph, Freelancer.com, Toptal.com

Can search through IM forums as well, such as warriorforum, digitalpoint forum etc.

 

SEOClerks is the best site to hire a freelancer on for several reasons.

Firstly because it has thousands of expert freelancers on it already and you can find them easily.
Secondly because you can post a "WTB" (Want To Buy) and people (freelancers) can then bid on that WTB so you can hire someone that way.

And mostly because anything you want to buy is usually already available to buy as a service on there. And with people able to leave their rating/feedback of that service, you can see from those last ratings by previous buyers whether or not they are doing a good job for people.

You can get anything you want on SEOClerks (freelance based). And I have truly great success with SEOClerks too.

I recommend SEOClerks and the Community side of it is really good as well. Always lots of people around helping each other out and people posting expert articles all the time.

I am a freelancer and I find Indeed the most elite website for hiring people for quality positions. I have worked with many platforms - none as appealing.

 

That's the standard rate for most platforms. It could be more. You have to realize, they give you that platform so you can make that money on it in the first place. Without them you wouldn't make anything (unless you used another platform but even then would be charged too). So you have to remember that and be grateful for it. Give thanks for everything you know?

 

Recently I have used Yellowbulbs.com .They are new but have some good resources.

 

Upwork charges too much, and Freelancer it's so crowded and their system makes it hard to get good projects.

 

Guru.com is a good one.

 

Seoclerks and Fiverr are strong on Digital marketing projects, it's really helpful when you need to hire a guy in those market.

 

Easy Outsorce is a good place to find solid workers.

 

Hi guys! I've recently tried out YouTeam. This platform is not about freelancers but pre-vetted professionals, had a positive experience working with them. BTW, they charge the commission to the vendors, not clients!

Already mentioned probably but Freelancer, Upwork, Elance and Microworkers are all legit.

 

I prefer Freelancer.com, i use them for most of the projects.
