DP Private Message Problem?

  1. #1
    i recently received a confirmation BY EMAIL that i have a new PM at DP.
    (same thing i always get when i have new PMs)...

    however,

    when i signed into DP, there were ZERO new PMs? (and the PM is not there)?

    1) anyone else have this problem lately?
    2) can mods/shawn look into please?

    Sometimes, e-mail alert are delayed and reaches us after we have already read the particular PM. Are you sure the PM alert was for a completely new PM? You can see the content of the PM in the mail alert itself.

    hi bnts,

    nope, got an email saying NEW PM, checked at DP, no new PM, nor any PM with the message in it. (only knew what the message was because it appears in the email).

    P.S. not sure if it was a "new" PM or a "reply" to an existing PM - i deleted the PM cuz i knew i could go to DP and get it. :) oops LOL

    But you have atleast read the content of the PM right ? And you have never found any such message in your PM box here in DP?
    I have had alert delays sometimes, but never had anything like that bud :(

    that's why i wanted to advise mods/shawn.

    i use my PM (A LOT). i don't think i'm confused. LOL

    I think you'll get an email notification whenever you get a new pm (no matter if it's read or unread)

    I am having a similar problem. I am not getting email notifications of PM's. I will check my profile settings to confirm everything but i am positive that i never changed anything other then User title for last few months :eek:

    it was over the weekend sometime.

    i deleted it, so i can't say for sure.

    it seems to be working fine again... i will keep an eye on it, and if it happens again, i will keep all the relevant "stuff" to show you.

    Its fine for me there is no problem with PMs

    But I think PMs are delivered bit a late as there may be a lot of PMs sent by members at a time
