    is backlinks from File and Image sharing websites powerful and helpful for my SEO?

    Is your site about file sharing websites? If so, then yes.
    Is your site about something else? then probably not.

    I agree with @sarahk.
    Image promotions become a popular method.
    Before some years, you don't find more image sharing platforms to share or build links in them. Nowadays the increase of file sharing platforms make SEO bees and internet marketers to run a link building module in the image sharing websites.

    Probably, if can help if you share inforgraphics, instructographics and Gif's to get more exposure.

    Probably, but we don't know your niche, inevitably though, the links are cloaked and will be penalised accordingly.

    Sites like pinterest are good but I wouldn't include that in "image sharing"

    I don't think it will help you in a bit unless your niche is strongly related to images.

    many people are doing this but you should make backlinks related to your niche
