    Since it is a product of google so for me it would provide some help with your website's search engine rankings. However I would still prefer to work on facebook first rather than on google+

    Google+ is very crucial for SEO. As it is powered by Google so google always prefer those brands who have a strong presence on Google+.

    Better ranking? HUNDREDS of my keywords land in the #1 position now. The law of diminishing returns say that I can NEVER get all of my keywords in the #1 position, so what is the point in chasing my tail for fewer and fewer returns? With an average rank of #7, I am probably to the point now where for every new #1 position I lose a #1 position, in other words, it would be a complete and utter waste of time trying to do better.

    I am not so sure that Google+ is always the greatest. I have an idea that Google has decreased their emphasis on this tool. I usually put each of my posts in there but do not rely on it for ranking.

    I made the experience that you can rank faster if you use Google+. However, you don't need it to rank but if you want to rank very fast I think Google+ is a great boost!
