Doing exercises first, then turn on my playlist! After that I start!

I like this...I often would get back in the mood to write after exercising.

I make my living as a professional copywriter, author, and book publisher. Occasional writer's block is a reality, but there are ways to deal with it without "forcing" it. I always tell my authors creativity is a lot like muscularity in that it will begin to atrophy without regular stimulation. Just like Olympic athletes have to dig a little deeper, some days, to motivate themselves to continue on, every writer will experience the same some days. So, the best cure for writer's block is perseverance ... and a little bit of discipline.

Two things I do to keep myself inspired and mitigate the writer's block:

    1. Read at least half an hour to an hour per day. It can be a book, an article, a blog, or whatever else. Just read. The writers who spend time reading other people's work will find themselves more inspired and filled with creativity when it comes time to write.

    2. Schedule regular writing intervals, then keep your promise to yourself and sit down to write during these times. Then just write one sentence. Just start with one. I find writing that one sentence is tantamount to turning the faucet on. The water begins to flow once the faucet is opened.

All that said, I love writing. It is my passion, so that makes it fairly easy to discipline myself during the lulls.

I think that everyone have days when they are not that motivated to write.
But they say that you only should write when you are motivated to do so. On the other hand you must be
structured so that you actually get the amounts of content written weekly that you have as a goal, no matter what.

I worked for many years for an advertising firm. I worked my way very close the top of the ladder. If you worked for me with this kind of a work ethic, I would have booted your lazy butt out the door in short order.

I have great work ethics and im not some lazy person. I really don't appreciate your remark.
I just tried to add some advice. It is never a good idea to write when you dont feel motivated or inspired.

Be careful my friend what you write here. Potential clients will read your posts. Never give out any advice that might make some question as to whether you would work hard for them, or be difficult to deal with.
At least you do stand up for yourself, and for that I will give you credit for.

I always work hard ive done so for more then 5 years. My advice wasnt about being lazy it was about finding inspiration if someone does not have that when they intend to write,
and nothing more. And that it is not a good idea to try to write when not having that motivation.because the outcome will not be great. I am not hard to deal with. However I do not like poeple calling me lazy either.

You simply have no clue what you are talking about. Listen, maybe things are different where you live. But where I am from you have to produce content whether or not you feel the "motivation" or not. I was under contract so had to produce stupid jingles and slogans etc. without motivation.
This thread my Swedish friend, is about how to write when you are *not* in the mood to write. Telling us to never write unless you are motivated is frankly...stupid.

I know what the thread is about, you make your assumptions thats ok i have nothing more to add if you are going to have that attitude
if you read my whole posts you would understand better.
You may think Im stupid but I just gave expression with my opinion.

Frankly, I'm not in the mood to write nearly as often as I should be, but I suppose it's just more a matter of doing it no matter what. Even if it isn't professionally, the only way to ever really grow and get better as a writer is to just keep doing it whenever you're not in the mood. And when I have to do it for pay or deadlines or whatever, yes, there is some degree of having to force myself to get started, but i generally find as soon as I actually get going on it, it tends to get a lot easier. It's a lot like cleaning a house or doing anything else professionally; even if you're not quite into it at first you're going to have a much easier time as it goes on. Of course, editing and proofreading is a whole other can of worms...

Have you ever tried this? [The Art of Copywriting] Creating Something New Out of Something Old This works for me. I get some really creative results from it sometimes.
