That's sad! Are there no consequences? It's not his first time being caught... https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/20-logo-contest.2796011/#post-19429724 Are contest holders aware of the copyright issues they may face due to using a plagiarized design? No fair play here...
Hey @remus94 - that logo is copyright protected by my corporation and using it is illegal infringement. Remove your entry and if I see it used again, I won't be so easy going about it. There's no need to steal. In face, the website rules states it's against policy. You really should have your membership revoked: Our rules have been revised. The short version: don't lie don't cheat don't steal don't spam If you need proof of ownership, here's a couple of url's in addition to the ones already provided. http://rebrand.ly/themojoapp http://welovemojo.com Thanks for your prompt cooperation in this matter. I really look forward to hearing from you. Carla, owner of this image
Yup, that's my logo. Illegal to steal the image and use it. As a designer, he knows this but is ignoring the law. Thankfully we have lawyers to help us out in situations like this.
I own this image and it's illegal to use it without my blessing. It's not only illegal but also against Digital Point rules. You really should stop stealing / plagiarizing / infringing on legally protected content. Not cool. Remove your submission. Thank you.
Lawyers are expensive, and DP doesn't become involved in disputes like this. You are new here and this sort of thing happens from time to time, best get used to it. The protocol to use is what you are now doing, namely to name and shame. Justice does prevail here as a rule, but not always. Good luck to you with all.
Hi Everyone - I contacted DP (the twitter account) and was told that it has to be reported. I explained that it had been and ignored. The only way to get @remus94 banned, the money refunded, and this logo removed it to have everyone tweet this to DP. Can you please help me with that? The Twitter handle is @digitalpoint
It's illegal to accept money for a copyright logo without prior authorization from the owner. Please refund the full amount now. Thanks
@digitalpoint You can find the copyright materials online in quite a few places. Here are just a couple to get you started. I also have the original source files. https://dribbble.com/shots/2889241-Gratitude-Logo http://rebrand.ly/themojoapp http://welovemojo.com Carla
@digitalpoint Here is the filing of my logo with the US Government. I look forward to getting this resolved quickly. http://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=87293278&caseType=SERIAL_NO&searchType=statusSearch
I'm so sorry you have to go through all this, Carla! Hope the issue will be taken care of as soon as possible. @remus94, you're constantly online. What you've done has been revealed, the owner of the design is here, not replying will not make the situation any better. Don't throw away your morals for some dollars.
Thank you @DianaGy. I heard from both @digitalpoint and @remus94. The good news is that I have plenty of evidence to prove that the image is owned and protected by law. @remus94 claims he refunded the money but refused to prove it. Oh well. If he can no longer profit from stealing, then it's all good by me.
I get it, i'm an asshole for ripping a circle and a rectangle from you, what i've done is wrong, i clearly misunderstood what dribbble is made for, but please stop bullying me and annoying members of this forum. I allready compromised my image as a designer here, wich is worse than banning because then i could just create another account and start fresh(thing i serioslly considered but decided not to do). I assume this, i'm not proud of myself but i'll continue participating in contests untill i clear my name and start making money again. I can't delete posts that old and the ch is not using your brilliant design. I will not continue this conversation, neither send you personal information for obvious reasons. Regards.
Hopefully none of us will catch you stealing designs again remus94. This must serve as a lesson to everyone as this is really unfair for other designers who spend time thinking for original concepts only to see a copied design win it. @happytapper - It's good for you that this issue has been taken care of by @digitalpoint
