Are you saying that Goolge will actually pay you more for a click on an ad that appears on a site that is statically generated as compared to the exact same ad on a site generated from a database driven blog or CMS? This just doesn't make sense. Why would Google care?
See how much money you can make with one blog. A blog can earn between $100 and $10.000 a month, in depends on so many factors. So start off with a blog, and if you are not happy start other blogs, untill you get the desired earnings.
According to a research about blogs, then there are 13 million blogs online. 39 million people said they sometimes visits a blog. That makes 3 visitors per blog so how are people going to make money on a blog? The odds for making money on AdSens is null, nada, zip! Another thing about blogs is that people don't go there to buy anything. They just read the blog and move on. I guess you need to have a well visited blog that really interests visitors and some really good keywords to get good adsense ads on your site. And then, another thing, is that you have several things you write about in a blog, which makes it "difficult" for Google to get good ads to show up. So yeah... Blogs sucks! They are easy to setup but all they are used for is blog-spamming by people who have sites about viagra, extension pills and other crap, and who wants to read your "inner thoughts" anyway? Family?
So is the general concensus her on Digital Point that blogs are personal websites? If this is the case, I now understand why so many people think they suck. I was using the term blog as it pertains to the type of software used to run a particular site. I think I will use CMS (content management system) when asking questoins going forward as I think it may clear up confusion by the types of sites i am talking about. I have several several sites, non personal in nature, focused tightly around a niche, with very targeted ads, created on top of Wordpress.org and Drupal. I generally refer to these sites as blogs, however, I think that this confuses the heck out of people.
If you make some research on DP (and not only here) you will see that there are a lot of people that earn a decent amount of money from blogging. If you failed that doesn't mean that others will fail too.
