WordPress has a huge community so you'll get a lot of support. There are many free plugins and themes to choose from. Or you can go the paid route if you want a custom design.

Once you've created your site you can forget all about the system that runs it. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is needed and you may find that you need to make changes to your theme or content as you learn more about what's involved.

Why are you wanting to find other blogs "within Wordpress"?

Hey sorry I'm getting back to you so late, so I did some research on 'Seo' and it seems the only way to use that feature is to pay for the premium through Wordpress. Does everybody suggest to do this?

Here is where I am so far. Just looking for some suggestions on the next step to take with the blog. Here is my site. https://allysinspired.wordpress.com/

Thank you all so much you've been a great help thus far

I'm sure there are features in the premium version of wordpress.com but there's a lot you can do without paying extra. Search Engine Optimisation is "on page" and "off page" and you can do both without spending a penny.

Don't pay a single penny to anyone, as your are new & there 95% chance you get scammed. Insisted try to read some famous SEO blog, do some research on backlinks, try to write unique content. That's all. It's very simple processes, unless you make your self very complicated.

Try to have this blog on your own domain which only cost $5 to 10.

I haven't heard anyone else claiming wordpress.com is a scam. Can you back that up?

WordPress is very powerful website building tool that is free. You can use it to make sites like blogs, ecommerce, or any type. If you are a beginner you should first install wordpress in your domain. Usually all hosting companies provide 1 minute wordpress installation. They install "Sidekick" plugin which is excellent for beginners. It actually provides you voice tutorials right into your wordpress dashboard- something which every beginner will love to have.

I would say one thing you need is a social media plugin so that people can share your posts if they want to. Then share the stuff yourself, including to places like Pinterest.
