during 2006 i was doing pretty well with keyword arbritage. i was displaying YPN ads and using adwords for traffic. I did extremely well. over $27,000 in 8 months $7,700 was my best month. However, it loks like it died and I am trying to build a model with Adwords and Adsense. Adwords is better for arbritage because the volume is there. Yahoo and MSN ppc traffic is much lower.
Hi SEOJoe, How many campaigns you were running to make this work ? how much one should spend (or how long should wait) to decide the profitability of the keyword ? Sorry for hitting you with too many questions but I tried to do the keyword arbitrage but didn't have success with it, I am trying to figure out what I did wrong.. Thanks
Why blending? it simply tricks people click ads without their interest on targeted ads. Perhaps, some people put ads on their ads on their sites just for advertising, but most people are just doing that for satisfaction of money hunger. but i don't click my friends ads with my computer they store cookies and record IP on each adsense user computer. they tolerance people within a very limited space. I did FEW clicks on my ads accidentally without reporting adsense, but I received checks. I don't think it is a good idea to take such risk, you will get banned forever. This is not worthy when there is a chance to get the great earnings
This was for one website. To be honest with you, I was really lucky with that niche. I have lost money and broke even with many other niches. What it comes down to is this. You need to keep trying different things. If you have a site losing some money, knowing when to cut your losses and having the courage to keep at it will be the major factor in determing your success with keyword arbritage.
Automation and volume is the key to successful arbitrage. Start by setting up a few niches (5-10) and running it for a month. Test away, see what works and what doesn't and pay attention which niches have the highest bid gaps. If you can profit from it, set up some automated scrapers to find niches with similar bid gaps and repeat.
I'd have to agree, it's all about volumn. Suppose you can find a profit margin with even little ROI for your campaign, you can still earn big money by investing more and lifting up the volumn.
Good day DPers! Im just wondering that I may also start an arbitrage project. What are the techniques/requirements needed for Arbitrage (using Adwords) that may not ban you from Adsense/Adwords?
I think that only times and methods change, there will always be ways to make money around such things. I guess we just need to keep our eyes open to it, right? It's a neverending game, Google tries to fight agains such practices and people try to find new ones.
ok thanks for the information sir. I just don't know whether arbitrage is either good or bad practice in getting money online
I just don't know but I hope that if ever my site does not violate adsense TOS it would be much better
You do need to be careful with this appraoch, as Google get picky if they see lots of traffic coming from PPC programs. Having said that it can be very effective for the right niches. My advice though would be to pick niches with higher PPC rates and then try to buy the traffic as cheap as possible, that way you should turn a profit.
You say Google gets picky if they see lots of traffic. What would be lots of traffic? If a person were interested in staying under the radar, what should they do? Does the amount of money spent with adwords or received with adsense trigger an account review if it passes a certain level?
most affiliate programs only work if your traffic is looking to buy a product... otherwise, it's a waste of time, all you are doing is sending traffic away from your site.
i tried it. it works at first and then after that seems i got smart priced and many psa appeared on my site. arbitrage is such a good way of earning i don't know why many disapprove it.
Dear all, I want to promote one site by using adwords and that site having a link to a site with adsense ads. Is this against TOS??
the key is flexibility. lol but too much need for flexibility had got me giving up on it a year ago, for me the natural SERP gives a better result. but the earnings in arbitrage is really huge, but since Google started becoming picky with it I always end up with a break even so I decided to quit
isn't arbitrage pretty much dead ? with google getting strict in policy and reducing clickable space, I dont see too many doing it now (I know few who are still doing it)
Oh, I wonder, I hope that I can still do those things again. That's very disappointing because that's another way of making money online
