Hope this isnt a stupid question but are adsense members allowed to click other's ads. I know obviously you cant click your own. Would google get suspicious if you click adsense on anyone elses but your own? Wont they think your trying to inflate your friends clicks and ban you and possibily him too?

Too late, it is a really stupid question.

Of course you can't go around clicking on your buddie's ads. What kind of a question is that??

Why does this question sound so much like, "If I shoot this guy in the head, wipe my fingerprints off the handle, and throw the gun in the river, will the cops catch me?"

    DON'T DO IT.

Why shouldn't you click on other member's ads? Where does it say you are now allowed to click??
If the ads appeal to me I would click. I always do.

You can click on your friends' ads as long as you don't share the same internet connection and have never logged in into their accounts. Google does not like it if you click on your ads, and if you share the same connection, when clicking their ads, you will use the same IP your friends use to login into Adsense.

Maybe it would be better not to do it at all because you may get "excited" about it and click too many times on their ads and Google may think they're trying to cheat the system.

sometimes, people do it on purpose, exspecially to their competitors:D
I click people ads for reciprocal purpose or appreication.
I think it is no problem to click 1 or 2 times

There is nothing wrong with the above since some of my friends have great websites. Does that mean that I can't view some of the ads displayed by my friends with the intention to order (the products/services) if suitable?

if search for uhmmmmmmmm "cameras best buy" and the first one is a blue adsense ad that will bring me directly to the cameras I click it. never gotten an e-mail from Google about it

So, the swell person that you are, you will click out of appreciation instead of information at someone else's expense? Unbelievable.

I click on other people's ads if they interest me. Why shouldn't I? If I'm visiting a website and I see an ad that promises to deliver exactly what I was searching for it's ridiculous to say that I can't click on the ad because I have Adsense on my site. I can't find anything in the TOS about it.

I think if you are interested it is okay, but it is rediculous to ask if you can click on your friends ads. The intention of this question is clearly to make your buddy a few dollars, NOT because you are interested in the ad.

its really a big risk, if you click "XYZ" 's ads and "XYZ" clicks yours..... are google guys crazy if they don't know this stupid plan???

I personally stop some people to do this, on another forum but they don't get my words and continue clicking their buddies ads and said their buddies to click on their ads and just before the payment everyone of them was banned.

You are allowed to click in the normal course of action i.e. when surfing, just like anyone else. But knowing webmasters, they are often very hesitant to click on ads.

I use google as my search engine of choice - and decided a long time ago that I prefer natural results to paid ones, however, every now and then an adsense add shows that grabs my attention.

Just because I have an adsense account myself, I see no reason - either morally or in googles TOS to prevent me from doing this - so long as fraud is not on my mind, of course.

Google never said it was against TOS to click in the normal course of action. They can detect fraud, but you are free to to clciks just like anyone else, if you find something that interests you.
