Some musicians don't have to give live concerts anymore. They just slap their videos on YT and make $$ from advertising. I don't remember seeing him performing live any time recently.
Not really. YouTube monetization is actually the poorest performer for music artists. (true for most streaming sites but YT is the worst). But the exposure is invaluable.
I generally do not like his voice (first time I have heard him) but I am not likely in his target audience, anyway.
