How to report about fake FB account? What's the process to delete the account? It's quite annoying. Can you guys please help me to figure out things?

In NZ we have an organisation called NetSafe who have a good track record of getting identity theft accounts removed quickly. You may have a similar organisation.

I've reported loads of fake accounts that aren't stealing identity but are clearly set up to establish an identity elsewhere (like here) and fb are pathetic about dealing with them. I'd have thought that if they wanted their site to remain a "login tool" for other sites they'd do more to protect the other sites.

It may be someone harrassing her via her friends list (make them private) or on a page she runs (block them) or it may be someone she's already done that to but she wants facebook to investigate

Exactly. Unfriend/block them. Investigate? Please who has time for that. It is not the first fake profile and it won't be the last.

I report several fake profiles a day and they really are fake. Facebook doesn't agree and does not remove them.

I travel a lot; check into places on Facebook; almost immediately I get friend requests from fake profiles located in that area; they are almost all from newly created accounts allegedly from the area and they have NO friends - so of course they are fake! ... but Facebook do not see it that way.

Out of curosity I did friend one to see what happens .... yep; the porn links started coming after a few weeks.

I read an article about the facebook moderators a few years ago

They're mostly low skilled people from North Africa - ie poorly paid, poorly educated and probably Muslim who are subjected to images that even a liberal, streetwise non-Muslim would find stomach churning.

Extrapolating from that I guess you have people who don't see fake profiles flogging vanilla porn and ewhoring as being as worthy of their time plus they probably don't have the skills or info access to investigate whether or not Jessica really is from Tasmania and if her IP addresses indicate someone genuinely travelling versus IP spoofing.

Yep I get those all the time. It is extremely obvious when you get a request from some hot female trying to spam webcam shit. Why would a hot female have no friends? I know the blondey is stupid, but don't assume I am you dumb bitch. LOL

No, I don't have any organization. Someone created a fake profile using my friend name and posting bad posts using his name. And trying to kill his reputation. Any solution?

That person using using my friend name and trying to kill his reputation. If I or my friend block them then only we can't see his posts. But other peoples can see. And its bad for reputation. What to do?

    Two scenarios here @KarenByerly

First - it's a random thing and the posts are obvious spam. People who see it are going to immediately realise the problem because they know their mate wouldn't post something like that.

Second - it's targetted by someone who has a grudge against your friend and the posts are clearly designed to hurt your friend. Your friend probably knows who is behind the account and can take legal action.

Block and Report is the easiest way. If someone is cyber bullying using a fake account, you can report that specifically, and I would also recommend contacting facebooks support team about it.

Why should you care? Unless they are impersonating myself I couldn't care less.
