As I was walking along the beach today, here near Daytona, I realized how blessed I am (seeing people, kids splashing in the ocean) considering that half of the country (and half of the world) are freezing their asses off. Life is good. And Happy Thanksgiving!
It is 32F/0C degrees this morning in New England. Nonetheless, I am pretty blessed, as well. I hope that you have a great Thanksgiving despite your not eating turkey today.
Lucky you, Qwikad. It's getting cold here in Japan. 10PM and I choose not to use my heating. (Just wear more clothes.)
Indeed When you have one of those moments where you want more, think about those people around the world who would love to be in your position.
It's another beautiful thing about living in Florida. Some winters we barely use our heating. I recall one year we swam in our pool till the end of November and then started swimming again at the end of February. On a negative side most summers are a torture here. 35C / 100% humidity. It's no fun. Turn on your heaters! 9C is cold.
Update: took the dog for a walk in the park a little while ago. Got lightly pelted with sleet (frozen rain which is more like small hail as opposed to light and fluffy snow.) But the sun is out now and we are at 40F/4C degrees which feels a bit balmy. On another note, Global Warming continues to disappoint...
Feeling blessed in a way is like self awakening. Good for ya. Live life for the greater good. Cherish every moment with those you love at every stage of your journey.
I lived in Florida for 5 years. Fort Launderdale, and Coral Springs. Loved it and loved the weather. You are lucky.
