You must focus on that word which describes your website well as well as come in your keywords.... So it will be easy to target.
to the best you should split into two domain names, domain names for your business brand and domain name products and services
I had mine using my company name as my domain name. Since the product i sell is famous of it's presence in my country, but wanting to make the website sounding more global, i include my base country within my domain name and use .com instead of .com.xx What do you guys think?
I would suggest you to use your brand name as your domain name. Coz general public are more familiar with brands than companies especially when you are doing branding. If you want your brand to be more famous than your company, this is the way to go. But if you insist in announcing your presence of your company on the internet, I would suggest you to create another website with your company name as your domain name, with simple contents, and link it to your brand website in some way. This would be feasible when you are financially allowed. This is what groups / companies do when they carry a specific brand. This links also create good ranking in search engines too. From marketing perspective, I believe that if it's a new brand, it's worth investing on a brand website.
Do you think any one is cheap per se? I would suggest you look out for some discount offers any vendor has.
Choose a name that can be a brand. Cognitive fluency bias matters, so register a name that's easy to pronounce. Domain name length, like waiting at a stop sign, should be as short as possible, but no shorter. .com is still the gold standard. Aim for it if at all possible. Don't infringe on trademarks or register a name that could be confused for something else. Make the name intuitive so people can guess what it is when they see it. Use keywords when sensible, but be wary of how keyword-match-domains are perceived. If your perfect name isn't available, use smart ways to amend or modify it.
Hello darren hayes, Once you come up with a name that you like check out the US trademark website so you don't infringe on someone else's name. http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=tess&state=4804:x51gz7.1.1
Short, clear and based upon your prospect's interest/wants.. So you need to use the main keywords whenever possible!
You need to select a domain name which is unique off-course. No need of using keywords in your domain. Domain name should be short and easy to remember. For example: Apple, orange, airtel, idea, pepsi, coke. All of this name are easy to type and remember. Once you have your domain is ready. Be loud on social media websites, so that everyone can remember your brand name. Also most important is create great content and optimize your site for search engines.
