How easy is it to convert smf to vb?

I am starting my own forum and i just dont have enough money right now to splash out on vb.. so for the mean time i have installed smf - with the intention of converting to vb when i have money and the site is getting starting to get a lot of hits.

I eventually want to use vb as everyone seems to give it excellent reviews.

Buying vb is not an option right now so I just wanted to know if anyone has had experience of converting smf to vb? is it an easy process? Any opinions? Anything i should be aware of? Where can i get the converters?

VB gives you the converters you need when you buy the software.
I converted from YaBB to VB some months ago, and it was fairly straight forward, I did loose some customer accounts, but that was converting from YaBB, it might be different for smf.
    Good luck

Why not ask in their support boards? (both smf and vb)

vBulletin got a very nice and advanced importer called ImpEx. Using that one it's really easy to import every kind of board.

How can I redirect SMF’s pages which were already indexed by the search engines?
I receive more than 5000 visitors from google per day and I do not want to lose them.
