Well I was trying to come up with something fun to gain some attention to my new directory. I decided to offer everyone that submits a chance to win a featured link. Prices for the directory will go way up starting December 20th because my goal is to make this one of the top quality directories around. Here is how it will work:

• Submit your website(s) here. There is no limit to the number of submissions but only one catagory is allowed.

• Only well established quality websites will be approved. I am only expecting 10% of the links to meet my criteria.

• When your link is approved it will be given an ID (i.e http://www.verste.com/detail/link-2.html) This would be link #2 and put you at that number.

• Every 25 approved submissions we have a winner. If you are #25, 50, 75, 100, and so on for every 50 you will be the winner of a featured link for 2 months. Also I will pick random numbers daily so be sure to know what number your link(s) are.

• The second way to win is to submit a quality reciprocal link. There will be a new reciprocal link winner every 48 hours. I will base this not only on pagerank, backlinks, and those factors but also the ease and design of the website itself.

Note: I would appreciate feedback but please let me know by private message. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I give you word and credibility that this contest will be run honestly. Also if a catagory is missing let me know so I can add it.

 

I didn't quite understand this rule, but submitted some sites anyway. Hope at least one is in your 10%

Some people will submit one website in many different catagories. For instance I do not want them putting a sports site in Law just to get more traffic. They will submit it in sports and law hoping I approve both catagories. That is my idea behind that theory though maybe there is another reason for it.

Are you looking for High Alexa Ranked Sites, High PR sites, or what ?
I've submitted a PR5 site with 58,000 Alexa rank. Hope you consider this a "well established quality website".

 

Yes that is definitely the type that I would be looking for. I will approve or deny the links later on today right now I am on lunch break.

I have learned that it is still counting links that I put "inactive" for the numbers so I decided to manually count the first 25 links that I approved and so on. There were 55 links approved that means that there were 2 winners. Congratulations to Ask-Dir and Paid Directory List. It just happened that both of the winners this time were related to directories. I loved some of your submissions so far alot of great non directory websites coming in!


Remember to be considered for the second way to win you must include a reciprocal link on your submission. I have seen some GREAT sites but not able to include them in this because they did not have a reciprocal link.

Just tried submitting a Featured Link, but the payment page lists it as annually.

 

Sorry I update that to be permanet must have forgot before. I have reviewed all submitted links and we are getting closer to another winner!

 

We are now at 94 links and had our 3rd winner at #75. Congrats to ITRCC web directory. That also means that if you are the 6th link that I approve you will be the next winner. Thanks to everyone for the great websites and I would appreciate a reciprocal link.

Free until December 20th that is why you should submit now. Then everything will cost something. Unless traffic ends up being huge then I might extend it until the 1st of 2007. We will see. Checking more links right now!

We are very close to the next winner for the 100th approved submission. If you look around on the site you might be able to figure out how many we are at. I will let you know who wins tomorrow once I approve the next batch.

I did submit a few of my sites. Its in the database as i tried again and said im already in their? I couldnt find it so you must not yet approved it.
