Make sure to do a lot of research before you get started. A high quality score will not only save you money, but, especially if you are in a niche market, increase your ROI. Simple things like "have a privacy policy and a contact page" or "put a tl;dr above the fold" can save you a lot of money.

Google Adwords is very effective, especially if you can make use of re-marketing and have a decent budget. If you work with a tiny budget, scaling up might actually result in a higher ROI as you can make use of more tools (like remarketing).

Depend on your niche. If your niche is very competitive, the Cost Per Click will be higher. It may cost few dollars per click for the competitive market. Although you can set the maximum bid per click on Google Adwords, it does not show on the search result or advertisement if your competitors bid higher than yours.

its as effective as the time you take to understand it and build our your campaigns. My advise would be to research your niche, build out your campaigns and ad accounts, keep things simple with not too many keywords within one adgroup and focus on position / CTR / landing page experience. QS will naturally increase if you manage your campaign properly.

This is good that your site is about marketing. You would make each pages with relevant target. Then you put the relevant ads that the visitors appreciate.

Adwords is very effective if your product/service costs more than 40$ (as an example).
Make variations of ads, run them for some time and then stop the ones that have a low CTR (click through rate). This will reduce the cost per click (CPC).
You will need a lot of clicks from visitors before you sell something.
Keep checking your Google analytics on how well a campaign or keyword is performing. If it is has a high bounce rate, then stop it.

Google Adwords is like a catalyst to business to grow ,this online advertising platform one can get qualified traffic to their website. It helps you to enhance your website visitors and customer base by directing qualified traffic to you. It does not adversely effect your business if you do not use adwords but you will definitely get more customers.

Earlier it was showing 2 ads on the top so there was very less ROI. After getting so many complaints from customers (advertisers ) regarding this Google has changed it to 4ads on top and brought many changes that are advertiser friendly. Now it is showing good progress in terms of getting clicks to websites and we can advertise our location map also.

If you are looking for some quick results from the search engines, then Google Adwords is the best one. On the other hand if you are not in a hurry, then it will be better to rely on SEO. But Adwords helps you to get more targeted traffic and also provide you accurate reports apart from providing instant results. It all depends upon your need on deciding whether to go with Google Adwords or conventional search engine marketing methods.

Are you able to expand on "remarketing" and what this is?
    Thanks!

Remarketing is showing your ads on the display network (Adsense) for those who have already visited your site.

The way it works is, you put the remarketing tag on your pages. A visitor comes and a cookie is placed on their computer indicating they have visited you. These visitors could come from anywhere - direct traffic, from organic link or paid ads. As they surf other sites, you can show them ads, provided they monetize with Adwords. There are over 2 million such sites.

There are many options with remarketing. One is show ads to visitors who have not bought, useful since you don't want to risk clicks from clients or worse, annoy them with ads. You can also show ads depending on which section/page of your site they visited. All you need is at least 100 visitors on each list in a certain amount of time that you control before it kicks in.

    Thanks for the reply.
Okay I have had this happen to me before as a consumer and always wondered how they did it. This seems very effective, especially for selling products.
    Thanks again.

AdWords campaign that is converting at a profitable rate, there is no reason to arbitrarily cap spend on that campaign. You can increase your PPC budget and your leads and profits will increase accordingly. This makes AdWords highly effective for businesses that need a lot of leads but are short on time and heads.

AdWords Is Scalable, Measurable & Flexible provides tons of options so you can customize your campaigns and ads to your particular needs.

Google Adwords can be very effective when done right. You need to identify what it is that you are trying to accomplish and try to be as specific as possible. I like to start with a narrow focus and build off of success.

AdWords is effective to get you new customers if you already know your keywords, where most your customers are located (i.e. geographic locations), and what device types they are mostly going to convert (i.e. mobile / tablet / desktop). The reason is all these "keywords", "geographies" and "device types" are what you can "choose" in your AdWords campaigns.

AdWords isn't YET as effective, if you don't know your keywords or geographies of your customers. In this scenario, you will have to spend some budget to test it. It may take you at least a few hundred clicks to find out (if lucky).

You will do well with your AdWords campaigns only if you know how to read your data reports (that are provided to you in your AdWords account) - This is data analysis. Based on these data, for example you can see what keywords convert and what keywords don't, (and what keywords assist in conversions and what keywords don't). This leads to "optimization" i.e. You make changes according to what has happened to your campaign based on the data reports, and try to get more conversions with lower cost.

It is solely dependent on your niche. If your keyword comes at niche, it will be seen on screen easily and always on top of the page.
